This vegan Italian restaurant is great if you want large portions for reasonable prices. I ordered the margherita calzone and it was absolutely huge. I had considered ordering an appetizer, but I’m glad I did not, although I wish I could have tried some of their other food. After the meal I ordered a soy latte which was creamy, foamy, and delicious. I hope I can return to London someday and try even more of their dishes. They offered dessert pizzas on the menu, including a chocolate pistachio pizza that sounded amazing!

I ventured to Fed by Water with a vegan friend and thought why not go the whole(vegan) hog and try something totally new. I went with a totally vegan pizza. with vegan salami! Good lord, it was fabulous! The few bites took some getting used to as the textures were slightly different to usual pizza but once I was used to that I loved it! I also highly recommend having the bread basket for starter… I mean who can say no to a basket made from bread, filled with bread!

There is a wide array of vegan, vegetarian and meat options, in particular pizza. But i’ts best for vegans, who can find pizzas to their liking, including the Hot with vegan salami and the intriguing Tiramsex!

Possibly the worst customer service experience of my life. Waited over an hour for our pizza, then when we suggested that we might be compensated for the ridiculous wait we were lectured for 5 minutes by the owner about his profit margins. At £13 a pizza we didn’t feel particularly sympathetic. All 6 of us agreed the experience was so back we wouldn’t go back. * Also this restaurant markets itself as a vegan/veggie but a member of our party called up and they said they still sell meat if that is something you were hoping to avoid on your night out.

JME once rapped that if you don’t like g-r-i-m-e then you got no taste like vegan cheese. For a long time I had never had any vegan cheese other than that made of nuts. Fed opened my mind and my mouth to how incredible it could taste. Both the pizzas and the pastas blew my mind.

Fed By Water has by far the best pizza in London. But it doesn’t stop there… why would it? Everything is cooked with purified water and fresh ingredients are used in some awesome traditional Italian recipes throughout the menu. The service is great and so is the atmosphere whether you go for a quick bite after work on a weeknight or on your Saturday night out. Fabio, the owner, is the best host and he has put a lot of love and thought into Fed — A must go!

This new vegan pizza place feels like a real haven! Next to Costa and sort-of attached to the Kingsland Shopping Centre, it’s a real gem for Dalston. I had a vegan Margherita pizza which took my breath away — there’s NO way I would have guessed it was vegan. Beautifully presented, with basil for colour and fragrance, I was in love. The staff even kindly asked how crispy I wanted it, and it was spot on with lots of crunch. I couldn’t finish it all but I was able to take some away in a sturdy box. I love the green ethos of this spot and they even had some discreet vegan literature. Will 100% return for the promo-priced pizzas!

I have never been this mad eating in a restaurant. We ordered three kinds of pastas and the waiter came to say if we mind changing them into one so its easier for the kitchen to cook. We said we do mind and they kept on persuading us to have the same pasta.

FED perfectly suits a rainy Sunday brunch, especially if you are feeling slightly hungover from the night before. Grey skies ensure that the white of the paint isn’t too bright, but the whole place feels clean and friendly. The highlight of the visit was the refillable water bottles that you can buy with their own little carabiner. Sadly the plastic tab that secures the protection for the pull-top broke soon after buying but otherwise it was cool.

Usually, nearby train stations one finds dodgy pubs or chain coffee shops. This one is different. Right by Kingsland Shopping Centre opposite Kingsand Overground this little café today caught my attention. The interior is welcoming with white wodden tabels and chairs. Lots of pizzas, baked goods and sweet stuff and decent coffee. The staff was very friendly and proud to explain they made everything inhouse. I will come back!
