Loved this place! After walking down the street from our AirBnB, this place looked interesting and decided to check it out. Such a unique idea and super affordable! The staff was incredibly friendly and generous and even gave us 3 of the risotto balls to sample before we decided on which to buy! Not to mention the chill atmosphere. They played great music and we felt right at home. It was hard to leave. 10⁄10 would recommend and could potentially be a reason to come back to London hehehe.

Next time you’re passing by, pop in for a 50p single arancini ball, just to try. You can get these gorgeous courgette balls, in a wrap or a salad. They also coat their chips in smoked paprika. Everything they touch turn to gold.

Love, love, love, love, love. In the states, I used to have a go-to falafel restaurant if I wanted a quick bite. They’d always have fresh salads and toppings, and they made falafel fresh to order. This place is so reminiscent of that, only with arancini, which is extremely clever and just as tasty. I will be back so many times before I leave the UK.

I went a few weeks back and had some arancini to take away. They were oily and greasy, nothing like the real thing. So heavy that I could not finish them — yet they were one fourth the size of a real Italian one! Will definitely not go there again.

Arancini! So good when done right… and these guys get it right again and again. The set up inside is relaxed and the staff, always super friendly. There’s several booths where you can eat in but they also do takeaway. But whether eating in or taking out, I love the food here. The salad boxes are £3.50 for any combination of apple slaw, bean salad, jalapeños and other freshly made veggie delights. And of course, the arancini. Crunchy on the outside soft and creamy on the inside. These little morsels are perfect with the garlic and tomato sauces that accompany them. Once you start you won’t stop. Luckily they’re sold in snack boxes of three, five and if you’re feeling up for a challenge(or sharing), twelve. I keep coming back to this place and they never fail to fill my luchtimes with arancini perfection. Yay arancini!

I’m still very confused when I see such new and exciting offerings in Dalston. Growing up here, my perception of the area was so fixed as grim and scary, that I seem to be stuck in that, despite being part and parcel of the gentrification myself! I was starvin like Marvin on the day in question when I tried this spot. After dithering around the new places for ages, I picked this one as it looked heathy and speedy(2 of my fail-safe concerns for food ordering these days ;) The new-ish staff were very kind when I got confused about what the mushroom option entailed and the care they took over creating my order was touching. I do hope that the enterprise succeeds as the salad in particular was super-fresh and of good quality: D

Risotto Balls is one of those time-classic spots that my girlfriend and I walked by(or drove by in a bus) and kept going, «We should go there.» And then never did. Until last weekend, when we did! And what we found was good. Good and tasty. It’s a tiny one-room spot with a counter you order from and a few tables in the back. But what they make behind the counter are delicious, fried balls of rissotto and they are damn good. You can either order them straight up or put into a wrap with meats like pulled pork or chicken(and tons of veggies). We did both, sharing a «schnack box» or 12 rissotto balls and a pulled pork wrap. A lot of food, all tasty, walked away very happy. I’d come back here again. And if you too are walking by here, stop in, you’ll be happy you did.

I had never had a risotto ball before, suspecting blandness but these little mozzarella filled balls were delicious after my haircut at nearby Bleach. A woman in a Nirvana shirt(making incredible brownies) offered me a free sample and when I said I couldn’t eat 5(the basic meal of 5 balls and sauce for £3) she offered me 3 for £1.50 which more than filled me up on top of my free sample. Free water is on the counter and lovely staff. Basic interior that I imagine will change over time.

Had lunch here for the first time today. The mushroom wrap was so good, one of the best meals i have had in a very long time. They have an amazing selection of muffins and brownies too. Very very highly recommended.

Calling all Americans! If you’re from California like I am, and find yourself CRAVING vegetables and fruit while in London like I did, run over to Arancini Brothers for one of their amazing risotto ball wraps. We found this place on our second day visiting London, and came back five times during our week stay. I’m still craving one of their wraps as I type this, but alas, I’m back in San Francisco. Picture this: freshly made vegetarian risotto balls stuffed with two kinds of cheese and vegetables that LITERALLY melt in your mouth. Add fresh bell peppers(red and green), onion, jalapeño, lettuce and these magical crispy onion pieces. Add a liberal amount of homemade garlic aioli and red pepper sauce. And wrap the whole thing up in a tortilla. Simply brilliant, and sure to satisfy any Californian’s need for fresh, delicious, homemade food! TIP: These have meat and vegan options as well. BONUS!

I first tried Arancini Bros. from their stand at the Southbank Centre. It was a typical grey, drizzly London day, and the piping hot mix of stew, arancini balls, and salad was the perfect, warming lunch. So when I stepped off the bus at Dalston Junction and saw their sign, I had to walk in and eat it again. It was such a pleasant solo dinner! The two guys(both chefs who grew up in Melbourne) offered me a free sample of the freshly made arancini, and served me a mix of the carrot & fennel veg stew and the braised beef stew with a side of flavorful, fresh salad with fennel and apple slices. One of the guys told me the salad ingredients change with what’s available from their vegetable provider, hence the nice touches of fennel, etc. He charged me for just the veg stew price of £6 and gave me a free brownie to enjoy on my walk home! Such sweet people. Spreading and sharing love — it’s what it’s all about!
