Entrée is a wonderful local that includes a piano & cocktail(bently) bar downstairs. The interior is dark but intimate and inviting. The service is low key but accommodating. The food is good– I am a lover of the yellow fin tuna. The cocktails are especially good as they’re prepared with daily fresh fruits and juices. Just a lovely local to frequent.

made a booking fairly last minute on a saturday afternoon via toptable — even offered 2 courses and prosecco for £20. the offer actually had a quite a decent menu and we all ended up going for that. my bavette steak(cheaper cut) was cooked well and the waitress was right to suggest it cooked medium, would’ve been a bit chewy otherwise. the chips, despite looking undercooked, were excellent. the sides were a bit pricey for £4 a pop but tasted great. the wine menu was decent. the aussie red we ordered was great and well priced. the service was fine, a bit weak in areas considering the prices but all in all more than fine. sorry to not agree with the other reviews, probably worth a 3.5 but I just felt the menu was a bit dated. the food was very good however. the £20 offer turned into £180 for 4 with wine and a cocktail.

Super restaurant on Battersea Rise with a wonderful cocktail and piano bar hidden downstairs! Would certainly fit alongside any top restaurant in Central. We started with cocktails downstairs, and then had seafood lasagne(scallop and crab), and French onion soup — both fantastic. Followed this with pork belly with truffle oil mash, and steak and chips with béarnaise — again both marvellous. Ask for them to save you a spot downstairs for after your meal as it gets busy with the piano man! Great way to finish your meal. Will certainly be back.

Absolutely wonderful. One of the best meals I’ve had in London, which made for a perfect 30th Birthday meal with my wife. Given the quantity and quality of the food I got, I’d say it’s actually reasonably priced. We started with some nicely flavoured Bellini before choosing our 3 courses; I had a duck pastrami starter(the fruit it came with made it excellent), a seafood main course(with delicious squid-ink pasta) and topped it off with a sublime chocolate fondant and raspberry purée. We also had some complimentary bread with a carrot soup shooter whilst we waited, which was fantastic. The ambience was good; we got there right before it filled up for dinner, so I would recommend booking — but it was never too loud to distract from our meal and our conversation. I loved the candlelit décor with subway tiling, it felt very clean and classy without going over the top. It’s exactly the sort of place — both for atmosphere and food — that I plan on bringing family and good friends for a top class meal when they visit. Kudos also to the waiting staff who were attentive, friendly, and efficient. The downstairs cocktail bar looks great fun too; it was too busy by the time we had finished and we were a little too full to ingest anything else, but I do plan on visiting there in the near future as well — as should you!

A beautiful dining experience. We went here to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Very glad we made reservations as, even on a mid-week night, it filled up quite quickly. The service was attentive and stellar, the food was delicious(I had the seafood lasagne starter, the steak main, and the chocoloate delice for dessert), and the ambiance was very nice. The music wasn’t too loud, and even though the dining room isn’t huge, the spacing of the tables still allowed movement. On the night we dined, all customers were given an amuse bouche of a carrot soup shooter and bread. Both were really great. Entrée is a lovely mix of fine dining and a comfortable environment. We’ll definitely be going back!

This is a wonderful little restaurant just on the border of Clapham Junction’s popular Northcote Road. Away from the chain branches with bland menus it offers friendly service with excellent food. During the week it can be quiet but at the weekends they have live jazz in the evenings and a great Sunday lunch. We’ve been a few times but most recently on a Tuesday evening when we were offered either BYO wine with corkage at £5 or half price dishes off the set menu. We opted for the latter and got to enjoy some exceptionally good food at a very good price. Entrée is a relatively expensive restaurant but you get what you pay for and a little more and I would highly recommend it. The week night deals are definitely worth investigating.

I thought this place was excellent and the food was the best in the area. We had the Bull red wine which was a pretty good accompaniment to our lamb confit and venison main courses which were both beautiful — the venison was tasty and the lamb was melt in the mouth. We had the arancini and the rillette to start which were delicious and split a chocolate fondant for dessert which was gooey. Greg Wallace would have been drooling. The amuse-bouches were a nice surprise which was some soup and some thyme bread which was a good way to get going with the meal and vindicated my decision to not get soup to start. I also had been past here countless times but the name was so hidden I didn’t even know what it was called. However I will remember Entrée now and will recommend it to my friends.

After walking past Entrée several times a week I finally convinced my boyfriend to join me for dinner on Friday night. We called for a reservation on short notice and were seated immediately. The upstairs of the place is the restaurant and downstairs is the piano bar so I definitely recommend dinner first, then ask the waitress to take your wine(if you’re partaking) downstairs after 8pm to enjoy your drinks in the bar while listening to great piano tunes. The dinner was pleasant, my boyfriend wasn’t a big fan of the Monkfish, it was a bit chewy, but I enjoyed the mild flavor. We also had the rabbit which was very flavorful. Both dishes were tasty and reasonably priced for the quality of food we received. But the real gem of this place lies downstairs in the Piano bar. Starting around 8pm on Fridays or Saturdays they’ve got an in-house piano player who plays any and all types of music under the sun. She’ll come around taking requests, everything from Broadway tunes, Jay-Z’s ‘Empire State of Mind’, and all the way back into the Big Band era. Entrée is a quiet place for dinner and the bar is a great place to snuggle up to a date for a romantic evening, or book the large table early and bring lots of friends to enjoy the music and maybe sing along. Drinks are imaginative and fun, great ambiance, perfect neighborhood restaurant & bar!

This place is a real treat, I can’t think of anything about it that I don’t like. An ideal visit here starts with a cocktail in the downstairs bar. Then head upstairs for a beautiful meal and excellent service. The food is unpretentious, generous and absolutely delicious. It’s in a perfect location too. Top stuff.

Not a bad restaurant, good deals available when booking through toptable. Good mains, but side orders are needed, the«thrice cooked chips» were very good. We were seated completely apart from all the other diners, but the staff didn’t forget us(we were close to the kitchen). «Discretionary» service of 12.5% was added to the bill, it seems to be the norm these days, I prefer to have th option, but this seems to be the way things are going… Finally, for some reason, someone thought it would be a good idea to put two double electrical sockets at eye level between us, on the wall, where we were sat dining, though this was really strange, maybe if we each had phones and laptops that needed to be charged it would have been handy!

I was pleasently surprised by this place, nice atmosphere inside with a decent cocktail bar downstairs. The food I found to be very good and reasonably priced. Just keep an eye on your bill at the end as ours was wrong(extra drinks added), subsequently over-hearing other diners conversations it would seem to be common practice. But don’t let that put you off, it is miles ahead of the outdated french place opposite — ‘le beuchon’ or barf. whatever its called, just remember to take your calculator

A hidden gem in Clapham. Actually, not very hidden but definitely a gem.
