De Gustibus

De Gustibus makes really good bread. Although this is to be expected from an award winning baker, the range they stock is incredible and I often find it pretty difficult just choosing the loaf for my sandwich never mind the filling! Sourdough, rye, cinnamon, pumpkin, eight grain, potato, onion, German, Russian, Polish, French, English, American, Italian… it’s all here and all delicious!
Unfortunately, the same attention isn’t always paid to the sandwich fillings and although they made sound nice, they’re often a bit dry and very overpriced. This hasn’t seemed to dampen De Gustibus’s popularity though and if you walk past this place on a weekday lunch time– it’s absolutely mobbed full of city slickers munching away at the newest, trendiest combination. Personally though, I’ll stick to buying just the bread itself.
