I walked by this place hundreds of times and never walked in. But this time I was lured in because it has been renovated. There is a nice wine shop in the front and a nice wine bar in the back(and sampling machines with a card). You can sit at the high bar tables, get a glass of wine, order off the nibbles menu. Not too loud. Great service. Nice bruchetta with fresh mozzarella and greens and tasty tapenade and aubergine spread. They have renovated the restaurant downstairs… worth checking out.

Quiet little bar tucked out of the way on a busy main road. The front is unassuming and deceptively downmarket looking. Inside, there are tables with comfy chairs, wood panelling, and low lighting to give it a nice, relaxed vibe. The bar staff are friendly and not the least bit pushy. Oh, and we got a membership card with our second round of drinks. We will definitely be going back when post-work drinks to avoid rush hour are in order again.

Upstairs is a blend of restaurant and small drinking area. Downstairs is much larger but loses the intimacy. I liked the staff, but the food was blah. There was a big event going on, so I think the kitchen was overwhelmed. Not sure I’d return unless someone else organized and subsidized a visti. They have the space to host a lot of events downstairs… I’m just not sure if they have the chops. Neutral!
