The One Tun is a nice play on Wonton, the chinese dumpling dish. You initially understand that it’s a pub by the décor and the name hints that they specialise in asian good. Note that it’s Thai asian food, which is now commonplace for many pubs doing food. The standard fare on the menu can be a little hit and miss. I thought that their Thai Green Curry was quite uninteresting, lacked ingredients and was a little stingy in portion. However the Pad Thai noodles is served in a much more accommodating portion with plenty of ingredients. Service can be hit and miss. Our waiter forgot a few items and there was a mix up with drinks as well as food but I don’t envisage this happening all the time and the guy was very apologetic. They serve free prawn crackers at the start which are very decent! The duck confit special I had was one of the best duck confit I’ve ever had, so I’ll most definitely be back to try other specials. Drinks are standard pub fare. Nice atmosphere and environment, but limited seating. Their pork scratchings are very good.

It’s gone upmarket. Just re-opened last week. Gone is the pub image, more wine bar now. The Pad Thai with prawns is still the best. A bit pricier, and nicer presented. Free basket of prawn crackers.

Had a real good night here as I was with a good group of friends. Tried the Thai food and had hot and spicy chicken wings 8/10, they were very nice. Old fashioned pub with football and Thai food. Can’t ask for more. Perfect place to banter with mates and watch a game

Quite simply, the best PADTHAI I have ever eaten in my life. The pub is «rustic» but the quality of the thai cooking here is excellent. A must try.
