We stopped in here just before last call on a Sunday night. It was really quiet, and even that close to closing time, the bar staff were happy to serve us. A nice selection on tap and in bottles. Lovely garden to boot! Definitely a spot I’d head back to given the chance.

One of my local pubs for after work drinks. Staff are nice and normally quick on a busy Friday and prices are typical for the area. Food is very basic but we don’t come here to eat but for a couple after work drinks… which its good for.

Excellent place to meet with clients and grab a quick lunch. I usually get the burger which is well seasoned. After work, this is a good place to meet for a few drinks and visit. Will be back next year!

I have to admit, when we walked into the Crutched Friar at Friday lunchtime, it was heaving and I was slightly doubtful that we’d have a good experience. But luckily, we’d booked our table and pre-​ordered our food and my doubts were unfounded. The service was excellent and our food all arrived on time — no mean feat for a group of 12!
I had the shredded pork natchos which were yummy but next time I’ll definitely have a burger with sweet potato fries — they looked delicious!
I was most impressed with the prices too. None of us paid more than £15-£20.

We needed a late dinner and arrived just in time, kitchen stops taking orders at 10. They were accommodating at ten til. My burger was a bit more cooked than I like, but overall it hit the spot. We also had the Cajun chicken salad and were surprised about the edamame and pomegranate. Cask ale selection is pretty good and 2−4−1 cocktails can’t be beat.

This is odd in that it is a sort of pub façade with a bit of a bar interior which is a bit of false advertising. It’s a mans bar with lots of brandy and back​-slap​ping​.No cigers these days but I’m sure it used to be smoky as hell.

Crutched Friar is nice place to have a drink or a meal. It definitely is not as crowded as other pubs, but that’s what I like about it. It has very large yet cosy interior and outdoor spaces. The food and service are great, too.

I stumbled upon this place looking for somewhere to go for lunch and very happy I did. I got the cumberland sausages and yummo!!! The spicy mustard was just the finishing touch. The service was nice and quick and I was very happy with the atmosphere. I’d love to return!
