Got sat by the door, in the middle of winter, my ankles thought they were going to drop off. Yeah, ask to NOT sit by the door, but it’s rather busy in here so that might have to be the only option. So we’ve had giant scones, giant pancakes. THIS is the place for a giant baked potato. ITWASASBIGASMYHEAD. I ordered a chicked pesto potato and it was a-okay. You can’t make a baked potato wrong can you? I also been hopping around london trying cinnamon cappuccinos, and I think this is the place that started it. I love cinnamon in the winter. it warms me right up! Give it a shot!(of espresso HAHAHAHA)

Classic food and not too expensive. The decoration is well and the chairs confortable. The service is not too quick so you can stay more time to prepare your afternoon of tourism

The service is very slow. Prepare to be ignored for a long time(especially when you need to place your order or pay your bill). The food is ‘cheap’, but not really worth it. The portions are too small. Today, I ordered the veggie breakfast… which consists of scrambled eggs(less than one egg), toast, mushrooms, tomato(half a tomato), beans, and hashbrowns. They were out of hashbrowns, but rather than saying so they just brought ‘extra’ beans(although I would hate to see how few beans I would have received otherwise). The free internet is the only worthwhile part… allowing you to post on Unilocal while you wait.

Pros: great atmosphere, good smoothies, free wi-fi, nice service Cons: terrible food and weak/bad coffee Go here to meet for tea or a smoothie, or to read/get some work done. Nice, quiet open and well lit atmosphere. Don’t go here for a meal.

After the second disappointing visit here I thought I had better review it on Unilocal. The first time I bought a tasty sounding sandwich which was unfortunately sitting in the fridge for a while because the bread was soggy and inedible. I also nearly had a heart attack at the price of the bill… my poor wallet had to dish out a heavy £14 for two coffee’s and two sandwiches. Ouch. The second time, yesterday, I just ordered a hot chocolate but it seemed as if they thought I had asked for a COLD chocolate because mine was certainly not even warm. Besides the temperature it also tasted pretty awful and I wished I’d stayed in the office to make my own. However, I did use my laptop with their free wi-fi and the service was friendly. Despite this I kind of have the feeling I’ve just been unlucky and next time might be better, but correct me if I’m wrong. Pro’s: Excellent service, great atmosphere, lots of comfy seats, decent wi-fi, great position & huge windows for excellent people watching. Con’s: Poor quality food & drink, always busy.

Went here yesterday to grab a bite to eat in between classes. Unfortunately since the tables were full, they were forcing everyone to take away their food and not letting them wait for tables which I thought a little odd. At this point, I could see the stars disappearing from Cilantro’s Unilocal review. However, as I watched scrumptious looking sandwiches, pastas, and salads being taken to the tables I couldn’t help but thinking that I need to come back during a less busy hour to try everything. I ended up getting a tomato and mozzarella sandwich, and my friend and I walked back to school to eat them. It was quite good and a nice change from the Pret boxed sandwiches we’re used too. Cilantro, I will be back when I can sit down at a table!
