This is the best pizza in London and has just toppled Santa Maria, in my book.
Great dough, tomato sauce and toppings.
Service is very friendly and ambience cosy.

Well I returned again only to be completely let down by the food. What a disappointment. Admittedly it was quite late on Saturday but surely this should not matter. The bresaola was over cooked. An experience I have never thought possible before. And the veal also was overcooked. Maybe the chef was having an off day. However now I may have to think twice before returning.

Checked Unilocal for an Italian restaurant nearby and Centonove seemed very charming. Not disappointed at all! I was on a date and the environment was delightful. Not too busy so not noisy, food was wonderful, cheapest red wine was good and the waitress was so sweet and helpful. Will definitely return if I’m in the area!

We just arrived in London and went out for an early dinner and found a swanky little Italian oasis. The food was excellent, service outstanding and the atmosphere was perfect. The salads are so fresh, pizza and sauce is wonderful, and the chocolate pudding along with an expresso was worth saving room for! We are staying in a flat nearby and will be back later this week!

I’ve eaten at lots of Italians in London but this one stands out.
Of the 4 dishes my girlfriend and I had between us, 3 were outstanding. I don’t understand how they can make simple dishes taste so good.
It’s not cheap — dinner for 2 inc a bottle of bubbly came to about £80.
The staff were friendly and Italian — which gives it a great atmosphere since they’re always jabbering away at each other (which I enjoy).
It’s not a huge place so it’s a bit cramped. But the décor is really nice — no cheesy Italian trinkets on the walls.

Best kept secret in Notting Hill. Centonove has the best bolognese and best pasta I’ve had in all of London. Service is friendly and attentive to your needs, and the chef/​owner is always looking for feedback to improve his restaurant. Also great place to take kids if you go early — the wait staff has always been sweet to our daughter.
