I came here several times because I was avoiding Starbucks in the uk and it was right near where I was staying. Sbux seemed too positively touristy of me to patronize. Café Nero was all right but I’d probably seek out a more independent place to go if I was a native in the city. Flavor of coffees were decent and they served soy milk(critical for me). I had to ask for way less water for my Americano(I think the world thinks Americans drink brown water) and the cappuccino had a nice foam but could have been stronger. There is decent seating and free wifi as is typical for most java houses.

Unfortunately there isn’t a lot of consistency with Nero’s, which I would note as their major and most significant downfall. Every white chocolate mocha I order tastes different than the next. With flavored drinks, consistency is key and Nero misses big on this one. So sad.

Not sure of the exact. location but loved the open Windows but Americanos taste just like starbucks instant coffee. maybe worse. I liked the atmosphere but wished the drinks were better. maybe I just had an off one?

I like to come here on those dark days when I am convinced Starbucks is becoming the McDonalds of coffee. Not a bad cup of coffee(though not as flavorful as I usually like), good atmosphere, and nice staff.

For real Italian espresso, skip Starbucks and come here instead.

I got a 20 minute breather break during a shift at work and was craving a caffeine fix. I realized that a very shabby looking Café Nero card was lingering in my wallet, 10 little red stamps meant one free cuppa Joe for me. Sloane Square area is by no means my stomping ground but I have no complaints to share. The service was quick and friendly, the large street-side windows and beautiful sunlight made the perfect space for solo enjoyment and I got to have a little giggle people watching. Apparently they are called Sloanies… derivative of the Shoreditch twats and equally interestingly dressed. I wouldn’t hang here everyday but for a one off, it was lovely.
