Brick Lounge

Stopped here after dinner and saw the sign for a cheap bottle of champagne. It was a cute little place with a nice atmosphere. I’d come here again!

Dark, dodgy and unwelcoming. We came here on a Sunday during the late afternoon. It was suspiciously empty but we were keen for a break from all the walking so decided to give it a go regardless.
They were doing cocktail happy hour which included a selction of a few basics including Mojito. We requested two cocktails but asked for the Mojito to be alcohol free. To our astonishment the lovely bartender with her lovely manicured plastic nails insisted on charging us full price for it because it didnt include Rum and thus was not part of the cocktail menu anymore. 5 minutes of discussion later we gave up and asked for the Rum to be included and ta-​da we qualified for the discount. Their loss. I just will never get my head around this logic.
Not in the least suprised that the business is doing so badly despite of being located in a very bustling street.

Cheesy music, affordable drinks and friendly staff. Give us more unassuming places like this in Shoreditch please.

First bar we went to in that street, love the orient setting of the lounge, unfortunately I was charged £15.00 for a drink lol, no wonder we went Piccadilly after if you’re gonna pay a price like that ‘there’ for a drink, we might as well do it ‘high end’ style lol xxxxx

Not a bad place at all to hang if you’re on Brick Lane and just exploring after eating some awesome bagels or eating at Kinkao down the block. The drinks here are great during happy hour because of the price and it’s nice to have a hookah lounge nearby. Unfortunately due to the limited seating and the fact they use instant light charcoal is a turn off to this place. I do like the ambience and the nice Armenian bartender who served us there. Friendliest bartender I’ve met out there. Hahaha. Do give this place a try! I would go back, but mostly for the friendliness of the staff and the convenience!

Decent enough place to get a drink though I’m not sure if I would ever call it a wine bar. Coffee here is pretty good during the day and the ambience is nice enough.
