Nice place in a posh location. I actually prefer the newer branch in Central London(Covent Garden) but it has good service, good space and good food. Though I found the seating a bit too packed closely for my liking.

I went there with my sister. We had an amazing dinner. A lobster with fries and salad+1 beer/frozen margarita at 20£ each! Cocktails are a bit expensive!

Used to come here all the time. Was very good but has gone downhill. 3x I have been and won’t go back. 1st time– service terrible while there were only 5 occupied tables. Ordered the voodoo wings and then ribs and chicken lunch. Voodoo wings dry and to camouflage that fact covered with the hot sauce, very bad. Ribs were good but chicken dry. 2nd time– service better this time went over the weekend so no lunch special. Decided to order the same to see whether previous time was just a one off of dried chicken. Exactly the same!!! 3rd time– service was good but they forgot an item with every course we ordered! Ordered again the wings to test, again dry! Sent them back and then the manager stated the chef was making a fresh new one. Within 5 minutes I had a new one(impossible in that time fresh and new) it looked the same portion just more sauce dropped over it to camouflage the dryness. Then they forgot the extra blue cheese sauce which I ordered and was charged 2.75??? Main was the burger… Never get this if you like rare to medium burger as they ONLY do medium well to well. Really dry and on top of that forgot to bring the fries!!! I mean really with a burger!!! Not sure whether the way they serve their meat is a reflection on how bad it might be that they will only serve it from medium-well upwards. All in all after these 3 attempts have decided that Big easy is off my list, even though the week lunch is a great deal. No deal can compensate for bad food. So bye bye Big Easy.

By no means the food at Big Easy is anywhere close to outstanding, but for some classic American BBQ in London, this is the place you’ve got to try, on top of that you also have the lively atmosphere and music which does really make you feel like you are in the US. Well worth a try for meat lovers who like to get their hands dirty. Bare in mind they’ve also got a site in Covent Garden with a much bigger space and a wider selection of spirits and cocktails.

I came here last night with the lads to celebrate one of my friends birthday. I was glad to find out that the group organised a group booking for Big Easy as I had heard about the place and I wanted to visit the place for myself. Their was 9 of us in total for a group booking for 17:00 at the kings road Big Easy. Each person in our group had their preferences for what they wanted to as some came with large appetites. I know I was hungry a whole day before our booking for this food! The food options was a little bit confusing at first as we had to choose from the set menu which was an option out of 3 which were the BBQ blow out at £25pp, the surf & turf at £30 person and finally the seafood deluxe at £35pp. The set menu has a variety of starters and mains including a selection of desserts at an additional £5.50. At first I initially thought this place was on the pricey side as I believe you get to choose one starter and main from the selection but I was well and truly wrong, you get everything I mean you get a range of starters and mains like a kings banquet being served out on huge silver trays. The disappointing thing was I couldn’t get my seafood deluxe order as their needed to be a minimum of 2 people ordering any of the set menu and as there was 9 of us the maths didn’t add up to my expense. However, I had the chance to Oder from the regular menu which now seemed more pricey especially once you witnessed the size of the platter that came out for the set menus. I was actually lucky enough to try everyone else’s starter as their was more than enough to go around meaning that I only had to purchase just a main course. Now after we went through mussels with shrimp in a white wine sauce and a course of buffalo wings, Nacho crisps with dips and a delicious tasting garlic bread I think we all knew desserts were out of the window. In fact I was a little worried I would finish my sirloin steak with deep fried battered shrimp and creamy mashed potatoes, but nevertheless we all pursue to finish of our food and to be honest I was the only one that did. I just didn’t understand why my mashed looked like vanilla ice cream? The hospitality and service were really good as our waiter and host made us all to feel welcomed so much so we all remembered their names, crystal, Tim and halo we can only say thanks for a great evening to remember. So would I go back again, yes. It’s a great spot to go after work, with your partner, family and friends.

Super busy but great atmosphere. Lobster was a bit overcooked — but at £15 who cares!!!

I was told about this place by my cousin so I thought I’d go check it out, was worth the trip, the frozen margarita’s were delicious and the ribs were really nice, the meat just fell off of the bones, the Monday special of BBQ ribs is a great offer, ‘d definitely come back here and I do recommend this place, only downfall is the table space, the tables are really close to eachother and there is hardly any room to get out of your seat without bumping into another customer.

I’ve been eating here for about 10 years and love coming back but you need to be hungry! The mid week lunch menu is 2 courses and a drink for £10 and it will fill you up all day! The daily specials are also brilliant — I love the all you can eat ribs(but can never eat that much!). The atmosphere and live music is also great — it’s a pretty chilled out place, not too fancy and loads of food for your money

This place was something else, the portions are M. A. S. S. I. V. E!!! The chicken was so tender, and the barbecue sauce was great but the ribs were good, not great. The reason for the –1 star is that it’s just way too packed with no room to move. Let’s just say if you’re going to stuff people with american portions you most give them enough room to pull their chair back an inch… Or two

I love this place! It’s so reasonably priced and the food is gorgeous! I have eaten here on several occasions and have also tried the new Covent Garden branch but this has a nicer atmosphere in my opinion. The margaritas are amazing!

I have been eating here for at least 5⁄6 years and managed to squeeze a long overdue trip back. It’s a shame because big easy really felt like a moms and pops place but now feels like a chain. The food is very average and the quality has dropped. The steak pretty tastey but very fatty. The shrimp cocktail was awfully dry. The same for there crab claws. Even the onions rings where bad! Dry cold and tasted refried. Also nearly £8 for a small frozen margarita and not even premium alcohol — dead The staff are amazing but the food and the price isn’t… Oh and stop serving food on boards with paper sheets. it sticks to the steak/food and is very unpleasant. Another thing to cut corners I’m guessing… Sorry big easy but you need to concentrate on the quality not quantity.

This place reminded me of some of the divey bars in American, with its hanging lights and well, divey décor. And who can resist specials? The daily special here is a decent deal: £20 Lobster + Margarita + Fries + Salad You get about a pound of steamed lobster, served with lemon and butter. The fries and the salad are nothing to be excited about but I guess most people take up this offer for the marg and lobster. There was also another special on this night, £19 all you can eat ribs and bbq which sounded tempting but I’ll leave this for a more gluttonous night.

I recommend this place for Americans, those who like big portions, sea food, steak and overall American food! This is a restaurant on our list for sure. — atmosphere: country, small tables through, need improvement. VERY busy! So make sure you book a table in advance and don’t be late because waiting time could be 1 – 2 hours or more. — FOOD: amazing! Big portions, delicious and good for the price, remember, you’re in the UK. Pricing and portion is reasonable. — SERVICE: okay. Since its very busy, ordering or needing something after the waiter gives you your first order will take time. * NOT a date night restaurant lol, it’s a get down and dirty type! Improvement on tables is why I gave 4 star.

This is my idea of hell. Crammed tables, bibs, nearly everything is fried, bread crumbed and served with cheesy creamy dips. How much fat can you cram into one meal? Ugh. You don’t get a plate, but trays of food. Everyone is overeating, and when you reach your fill, there’s no escape. The smell of gluttony pervades every corner. Clearly though, I am in the minority on this one. The place was heaving on a Tuesday night, with well groomed Londoners, tying back their hair, to facilitate their binge.

The place to go for a messy feast of a meal. The restaurant is a casual American crab shack but not sloppy. The place is always packed, the margarita jugs are always flowing, the enormous platters of pulled pork and ribs, or giant lobsters are always passing over your head. The lobsters are nothing special(how many different ways can you cook a lobster?) but it’s the challenge of dissecting it whilst still looking decent with a bib over your front. It can be a bit noisy with the live band downstairs, but it is so much fun and time flies. A great evening out with mates in a central location.

Sometimes I hesitate to give a place like this more than 3 stars. Feels like I’m falling into a trap where cheap seafood meal deals override quality & service. I really hope not, but I’ve been to this location twice, and once to their new location in Covent Garden, and have been pretty happy both times(though, I can’t say I recommend the CG location!) The atmosphere is slightly stuffy, and most of the time, the tables are so close to each other that your butt will knock over a few things as you try to squeeze your way out to the restroom. For food that cheap that gets pumped out routinely, I wasn’t going to have high expectations. But man, it was good, and I hope they do have a high rate of consistency, as our party was very happy both times! The first time around, Cheryl & I got the unlimited fried shrimp basket which came with tartar sauce, fries, coleslaw, and a margarita for £17. I can’t say much for the margarita — its a slush and comes out of a machine, and I didn’t enjoy it very much, but its the standard drink that comes with most deals. The deal is so cheap already, I’ll happily pay for a different drink or milkshake from the menu. The popcorn shrimp was definitely hot, fresh and crispy! Loved the crunch of the shrimp, and it was so delicious! Refills give you about 4 pieces, usually without fries unless you want more fries as well. We EACH got a side of mac n cheese(£3−4?). All the mac n cheese sides I’ve ordered are usually a tiny dish, and Cheryl & I are pigs, we admit it — we can usually finish our own sides. But holy cow, for that price, we each were given a large dish of mac! it was tasty, and more than generously sized! We hardly dented our sides, and had to take it home. Second time, I had the whole 1.5lb lobster(includes fries and marg) for £20. It was my first whole lobster, and it was cooked really nicely! The flesh was nice and bouncy, not solid & chewy at all! Clarified butter was good, and I did a number on the lobster licked clean every crack and crevice! Definitely great value and tasty for that price! Others were happy with their steak /rib dishes. Cooked really well, and tender, fall off the bone meat for the ribs. Also, please be cautious of the amount of food you order! These dishes ARE big, so if you do need an appy or side, order 1 between 2 people(especially if you are here on an unlimited night), If you usually pack up leftovers, then thats fine — but that comment was mainly directed at those who don’t usually bother with leftovers. I’ve seen so much food wastage here because some people don’t realise how large the dishes are! Anyway, I’ve been happy both times, the quality was consistent, and I hope that if I come back here down the line, it’ll continually be good!

I had my reservations about this place because anywhere purporting to do BBQ American style AND seafood really well raises a skeptical eyebrow from me. However, we had a great meal Thursday night. I had the steak fajitas(£16.95), which were generous in portion and tasty. The steak had a nice char to it, but there could have been a bit more of it as the three tortillas only had a little bit each. Lots of onions and peppers, and the guac/salsa on the side were delicious. 7⁄10. My strawberry margarita was excellent. My husband had the lobster roll(£16.95) which had 1 pound of lobster in it, and came with a side salad and chips. Good portion size, and he devoured it quickly. He rates it 9⁄10 — no complaints, but he hates giving out perfect scores. He loved the classic margarita as well. Our food was very good, the vibe was fun and casual, and the service was friendly if slow. Dessert looked great, but we were too stuffed. I got a membership card in the mail the next day, too! Nice surprise perk. Would definitely recommend the margaritas and will happily go back to try some BBQ.

The best place for American Food outside the US I have been so far! Burger and Steaks are awesome and the fries legendary! Very good selection of beer! Also the lobster looked delicious but did not try it yet. There was very good live music and service was fast! This was my second time here and I will definitely be back on my next trip to London! You should make a reservation in advance, the place is really packed!

i finally made the lobster and steak night on a thursday. For £19.95 you get a lobster, steak chips and any margarita or beer, — i can safely say this was great value, I booked online and i could only get 2 early sittings as its a very popular night, so book in advance or you might be disappointed if you just turn up. Each night has a different menu special from pig gig to unlimited fajitas as well as a pre 5pm special burger wings and beer for £10 I will be going back for my lobster duo
