I have been going here for years and have been living amongst all the wonderful restaurants in Chelsea and eaten at most. The Chelsea Bun is one of my favourites. They are not trying to be flash and the food is yum. You can even create what you like if want to. Everything is here and everyone is very friendly too. I go there with clients and everyone loves it. I will be back tomorrow :)

2 stars for free wifi and good espresso. Otherwise, nonexistent service, nuclear waste omelettes and the worst French toast on earth!

This place wouldn’t last a second in the States, I hate to say. I’ve been looking for a solid, inexpensive, relaxed breakfast spot in the area and sadly this place only hit two of the three. Inexpensive: yes. Relaxed: definitely. Solid: meh. The food was not good — mediocre at best. I could have made a much tastier breakfast for myself at home. It was diner food but lacked the flavor I’ve come to expect at quality diners. While the menu was extensive, every dish looked bland. The people in my group all had similar reactions to their dishes. I would say if you’re in the area, shell out £1−2 more per dish and head down the road to Megan’s for a far more superior and quality experience.

This is truly a Chelsea landmark. Sunday brunch is a real treat with shades of Canadian memories. Great food, and plenty of it is served all day. The unpretentious fare is a favourite for residents and tourists alike. The only set back about sitting outside and enjoying a full english breakfast or the ultimate challenge is the TFL328 that has its final stop right outside the front door. Highly advised for those morning after the night before munchies.

Great atmosphere and especially on the second floor. Really big portions at affordable prices and friendly staff. The California omelette is my favorite, also and the Texas Chilli burger.

I didn’t see any Chelsea buns here but it is in Chelsea and I guess it’s a diner so there you are.

Inexpensive American/Brit breakfast diner thats actually GOOD and in Chelsea, Uh… no brainer, hell YES! The service is quick, the food is decent and its super inexpensive. Whats not to love about this place? I had some breakfast item that came with bacon, sausage, beans toast AND a tea for around £4.80. Kid you not. And it was good!

The hollandaise on my Eggs Royale made me vom a little bit in my mouth. And since it covered approximately 97.3% of the food on my plate, I wasn’t able to eat very much of my breakfast. I think I ate three-quarters of a hashbrown, which doesn’t present an amazing value at £8.50. The stuff everyone else was eating looked pretty quality in a greasy-spoon sort of way. Just avoid the hollandaise-based dishes and you’ll probably think Chelsea Bun Diner is A-OK.

I’ve been to Chelsea Bun twice after yoga class(yeah I know, so much for detoxing/cleansing!). Great wholesome food(loved the article on eggs are good for you on the wall) giving you extra energy and oomph for the day ahead. I had the Scottish pancakes with strawberries, maple syrup and clotted cream one morning and scrambled eggs with mushrooms and toast another morning. Service is fast and efficient and you can taste that the ingredients are fresh and prepared with skill. Unpretentious and relaxed. I like it!

Soooooo yum! Awesome food, huge portions that aren’t too pricey, and great atmosphere. Definitely want to come back for another big breakfast. I had the Malibu omelette and it was amazing!

This place ought to be known to every American living in London. Hash browns — yum. Pancakes — as close to American pancakes as you can find. Omelettes and scrambles — particularly the goat cheese chorizo scramble — are huge and flavorful. They like kids(not always the case in restaurants in London) and don’t fuss about Cheerios spilled on the floor.

Chelsea Bun has been going strong for 25 years, and there’s still nothing else quite like it in London. It somehow manages to combine American diner with side-of-the-road pitstop — complete with huge, greasy portions, cheap prices and substandard fare — without turning people off. Indeed, this place is jam-packed on the weekends. While the food is nothing special(authentically so), it is hearty and will kill off a hangover in a snap. It’s also a refreshingly laid-back and affordable find in an otherwise upmarket part of town.

Chelsea Bun is a real breath of fresh air. It is like an American greasy spoon diner, only this greasy spoon is in an area amidst expensive real estate in Chelsea. You’ll find lots of builders here drinking copious amounts of tea, and gobbling on a hearty, full fat meal. Their menu is extensive, full of American fast food things, all day breakfasts(served until 6pm) and a random add on of more adventurous dishes, which have no link whatsoever with what this place is all about. The portions are generous and the meals a cheap. I would say stick with the safe dishes of their breakfast foods as they definitely don’t go wrong there. I enjoy their pancakes, scrambled eggs and bacon. With lots of maple syrup and a glass of chocolate milk shake. A good find, and a random one at that, but a visit is definitely worth your while.

Looking for a hearty breakfast before a day of playing tourist? Head on down to the Chelsea Bun! We knew we picked a great spot by the constant stream of locals sitting down around us. I went with the English Breakfast(as we were in England, duh) and though the bacon wasn’t cooked as much as I like, it was still pretty tasty. Not the best meal ever but a solid option if you’re looking to fill up on the cheap.

The Chelsea bun is a rarity in the Borough being unpretentious and serving extremely reasonable fare. The menu is vast and the portions are generous meaning that there is a really excellent choice of dishes for brunch, lunch and dinner. Breakfast at the Chelseabun should definitely be experienced– their gourmet breakfast menu boasts, ‘New York brunch’ ‘British Brunch’, ‘Malibu Omlettes’, ‘Late Miami Breakfast’(potato skins, spinach, scrambled eggs, sausage and cheese) and Chorizio and goats Cheese scramble, amongst other delights. The prices for brunch/breakfasts average about £8.75 which given the size of the portions is great value I think. There is some outside seating for the smokers out there but the interior is cosy and frequented by regulars. Nice friendly staff too.
