I went to apostrophe specifically for the hot chocolate. I must say that I wasn’t impressed. I have tried a pastry and have had tea. Nothing that great to be honest. this specific place is also quite tight and it’s hard to find somewhere to sit on the ground floor. I would only go here as a necessity and Chrisopher’s place is a great place to get away from the madness going on around the shops.

Very mediocre. Service ok. Female barista a bit of a know it all. Nice pastries & sandwiches. Quick & easy if you in the area. Worst flat white I have ever had!!!

It’s fine. It’s not my best«quick but real food» option, but it’s fine. Well, that doesn’t sound like a glowing endorsement, Alex! No. I suppose it’s not. I just find it inconsistent. I have some days when I’m really tempted by the sandwiches on offer, and they totally deliver: fresh, good combos, fine. Then on another day I pop in at a totally«still lunch hour» time of day and… they’ve run out and«won’t be replenishing». The coffee? Same thing: *can* be good, but isn’t always. And for the price(fair, I guess, but certainly not a «bargain») it shouldn’t be that all-over-the-place. I just keep getting sucked in by the crowds and my love for hot pink, I think. One particular gripe: I had one experience with their soup(well, chili) of the day. It was called«chili con carne». Fine. I know Spanish(I MEAN, NOTREALLY, BUTENOUGH) to know that«carne» means meat. So I order it. And then see the sign they have put up and they’ve designated it as vegan /vegetarian. Huh? I’m neither, but when I checked my final order — definitely some real meat in there — I wondered how many vegans /vegetarians got caught out by this labelling snafu when they opened their lunches back at their offices. I think this small example is illustrative of my grumbles with Apostrophe; fine(the chili was good enough) but so many little attentions to detail that could make it *great*. Unilocal note: I still really like hot pink.

This place(and it’s big sister on Baker Street) annoys me. If could be really good. but it ain’t. Some sandwiches look like they have been there for a few days. and the coffee is good one day, crap the next… This company needs to do better.

Nice place to have coffee and cake during the afternoon. I tried the carrot and walnut cake which is so delightful. They have two choices of hot chocolate, if you are looking for meal replacement, maybe you should try the thick one. But it is definitely too much for afternoon chocolate dose. Overall, they place is centrally located in st. James street so it’s a good meet up place.

Located in St. Christopher’s Place. This had my favorite for a London summer. Iced Coffee and fresh croissant buttery and flaky. Also try the wraps. Great for on the go quick fix. Pastries, sandwiches fresh and ready.

The aroma of this place is to die for. Even the décor is cute in all pink and black. As for the contents? I think I’m all set with passing in the future. I had the most disappointing cup of coffee I’ve encountered in the U.K. thusfar and my friend’s croissant apparently left something to be desired as well. The location is prime– tucked away in a market center surrounded by narrow streets and vibrant signs. Just because you can get the foot traffic doesn’t mean you don’t have to make an effort in the products you provide.

This is the best hot chocolate that I have had in London so far. It looks to me like a cup of hot melted chocolate. You«eat» it like a soup first, skimming off the chocolate skin from the top as it cools down. But when it is cooled down further to «very warm», it is such a treat to drink the rest of it and feel the chocolate warmth going down your throat. I would travel across London for this.(Then again, I’m one of those people with a weekly tube pass and I’m not worried about the time this takes.) Their loyalty card is a bit silly though. You get a stamp per visit, not per drink. So, if you’re going with your favourite other, you may be better to order separately.

I noted that new addition to the Apostrophe chain which is located in a prime spot in St Christopher’s place was not on the Unilocal register. Nice place to grab a croissant or a cake with your coffee for breakfast.
