Allan Fuller

In a city of soaring rent, dodgy landlords and occasionally unscrupulous estate agents, Allan Fuller are one of the good guys. I rented a flat in Putney through them and overall, received professional, courteous and prompt service throughout.
Everything went pretty smoothly from the beginning. I strolled into their offices, set out my requirements and budget. Shortly afterwards I had an appointment a few days later to view a couple of flats. Two weeks later with plenty of support from them I had moved in.
They were highly professional throughout, giving me plenty of notice of impending quarterly inspections and agreeing to move the date when I was working at home one day. They supplied me with all the information I needed to connect my utilities, stressed their compliance with the Govt’s tenant deposit protection scheme and even — a really nice touch which I appreciated — sent me a card signed from everyone I’d met welcoming me into my new flat. Wow!
Just one issue prevents them from getting 5 stars, namely a slight hitch over my securing of the flat. I had been due to view the flat on a Wednesday but couldn’t due to Allan Fuller’s inability to get the keys. I then had to ring them for a new appointment and by the time I got one, on Saturday, I was told the flat was under offer. To their credit they allowed me to view the flat anyway, but all of a sudden I found myself in a bidding war. Maybe that’s all part of the territory in the highly-​competitive world of London property but the fact is that I wouldn’t have been in that situation if I had been able to see and bid for the flat on Wednesday.
Anyway, it’s a relatively small blemish, and one which wasn’t repeated for the rest of my stay. When I gave my notice to move out, they recommended cleaners that met their requirements in the contract and showed plenty of flexibility when I had some last-​minute hitches. Best of all, they acted professionally and fairly in the return of my deposit, docking only the cost of a small light bulb that I had forgotten to replace.
In short: I highly recommend Allan Fuller as a professional, fair and flexible estate agent.
