There’s not a lot of eating options in Canada Water, especially on Xmas eve.
So when confronted with a little shop that sells fish, chips, pies, burgers, kabobs, friend chicken, etc. — you start to wonder if they make anything decent.
Thankfully they did make me a platter of fish and chips that was decent (in a greasy spoon kind of way). It was all made to order, and even though I had to sit at one of their two tiny 2-​top tables, I was able to relax and read a 3 month old Sun newspaper.
It’s not a place you’d take a date, but it is a place you might go to after a bad date and you just wanted to eat some fried food. Battered Mars bars are 1 pound.
