Well, after many years of visiting there (and actually used to work there as a teenager when George & Angela ran it), I was very disappointed with what I purchased this evening. Everything was luke-​warm, the chips, the pie, and even the curry! Almost as though they have turned the temperature down on things to try and save money on fuel.
Sorry, I won’t be going back again.

This is arguably the best of the local chip shops. It offers a great range of food from kebabs and Chinese to the traditional chippy menu, (including potato scallops which my family adore but can never seem to find anywhere) it is reasonably priced and served to order. There is a good selection of drinks including traditional glass bottle pop which seems to appeal to customers of a certain age.
I have known the staff to be a little discourteous but this is rare.
Given its location I think it’s mostly patronised by local residents but it’s not too far from local parks and Crosby beach if you’re visiting for the day.

This take away is always really busy, especially early evening on a Friday and Saturday when its ‘chippy tea’ night for the whole family! They do a wide selection of take away foods, english fish and chips, greek kebabs, pizza, burgers, chinese meals the list is endless, so the whole family can have a different kind of meal. Their food is spot on, the chips are always fresh tasting and not greasy, their chinese emals are always tasty too and dont contain to much msg, or at least dont taste of it. The wait in the queue passes quite quickly, although its a little longer if youre ordering a chinese meal, but you can always ring your order in advance if your impatient!
