next time i’ll go hungry than go to crosby stir fry, we called in and ordered chips, sausage, gravy, cheese pie and egg fried rice, its was inedible swill,(and we aren’t fussy eaters!) the gravy wasn’t like any gravy i’d tasted before it was more like a black bean sauce taste, the sausage which after asking for a fresh sausage to be done for us as the ones on display were older than Methuselah, tasted like it had spent a week bathing in lard, the pie had been kept warm for so long you could use the crust as a hammer and saving the best till last the egg fried rice… it had been reheated a few times i needed a knife to slice it you know when you leave rice a while and it goes rock hard when thats what it was like… chewy! on the good side the shop is very clean but maybe they should spend more time making fresh food. maybe they we’re having a bad day but i wont be giving them a second try.

Average run of the mill chippy. Chinese is a lot better than the chips.

The Crosby stir fry was my local chippy when we lived in Crosby. It between the old post office and the off license. The food here i would describe as average. They do the usual Thai and Chinese food which i must admit is absolutely delicious and probably what would be described as the specialty. The regular fish and chips kind of food is pretty average, I used to get the chip and onion gravy which was nice. The chippy is run by a married couple with the wife as front of house and husband doing the more exotic food cooking in the back. They have decorated with a green and white theme. It has always been clean and tidy when i have gone in there. The staff are always welcoming and the service is very fast, you are rarely waiting a long time for your food.
