The Cow and Plough is brilliant. I love all the old beer and cigarette memorabilia with all the old pub signs in the restaurant.
The staff are really friendly and the food was excellent too.
I particularly like going on a wednesday lunch for the live jazz, it’s always busy and the music is great.

I have only ever been able to drink here, as the three times I attempted to buy food I was told they had stopped serving, despite being within advertised times. Good family location and well supported by locals, sometimes with a farm smell but I think that can add to the charm. Great if you like real ale brewed in-​house and classic pub food. It’s like a country pub, only closer to the city.

The Cow and Plough really has the look of a traditional pub, little nooks for sitting in, the occasional low doorway and tonnes of beer/​cigarette/​local memorabilia attached to the walls at all angles and heights.
It’s got a lovely atmosphere and is both family friendly (they do a nice menu at a decent price and it is packed for Sunday lunches) and ale drinker friendly, with the local Steamin Billy ales being on offer as well as quite often other ale selections.
I would definitely recommend it, the only problem is its off road location is not convinient if you don’t have a car!

Das Cow & Plough — eine Legende in Leicester. Hier gibt es gutes, selbstgebrautes Bier, selbstgemachten Cider. Ein Muß!
Man kann hier auch gut essen; auch sehr schön sitzen.
Das Cow & Plough war früher mal eine Farm, daher der Name. Jetzt befinden sich rund um das Pub viele, kleine Geschäfte.
Dank Waltraud und Graham lernte ich das Cow & Plough kennen.
