A great little pub lovely basic menu try the sweet chilli sauce on your steak
Good kids selection my lad had a mini rack of ribs and loved it
Sweets are limited as most pubs are mainly ice cream based

Popped into here on my travels as I could not find a carvery to go to. I chose a chicken dish off the larger portions menu the waitress saw my quizzical expression very small portion. This is microwave, portion controlled food and not very good either. A couple of real ales on offer but as working did not try. I was disappointed and as I visit this area regularly I will make a point of not returning. Main patrons were single mothers with kids I think it was kids eat free night!

The Oadby Owl had been my ‘local’ since i had my first date with my future husband back in 1979.
Sadly lately we have had trouble on every visit. They range from: incorrect orders on meals; several times, manager quoting incorrect licensing laws, items missing from plates that were stated on the menu and being charged the wrong amount.
Mistakes happen I know, unfortunately all the staff have trouble in admitting its their fault, not even a false smile and I’m very sorry madam
I complained to the Greene King Group and was told my points had been passed on, having given them a second chance tonight nothing has changed.
I shall be increasing my exercise régime by walking to a pub thats not so local but gives me quality of service and the respect I think customers deserve.
P. S. I have had to give one star because I apparently can’t give less, You can guess I believe not even one is deserved.

We love this place. The food is always plentiful and comes out very quickly. The prices are great value and the staff are always very friendly and helpful. I love the booth seating with built in tv. Always nice when there is a game on.

One of the best value food pubs in the whole of leicester. The prices are rock bottom and the plates are large. Great varied menu and lots for kids. The kids meal comes with an activity pack which keeps mine very well occupied. There is an outdoor area, a large spacious car park, and a vast area across the pub. Large pub with large plates of food!

Huge plates of food for a great price. Food is always good although they have just changed the menu and no longer do the lunch special so no more fishfinger sandwiches!
Great for families, in summer there is an outside play area, also great childrens menu.

This is a hungry horse pub — so you are getting LOADS of food for small prices — it’s not always the best food but good if you want some pubfood on the cheap. Friendly staff, comfortable — more suited for families due to the nature of hungry horse pubs. It’s not the best quality of food — I had a curry and it was pretty dry, but you do get what you pay for!
Also there was a bit of confusion with the credit card machine — one member of staff let us off for being 20p off the 5 pound min. but when we went up again, another older member of staff actually gave me a telling off for trying!
