Impressive building. Lovely staff. lovely atmosphere. Met with friends for lunch and stayed for 8 hours. Food was usual high standard. Served with a smile and apology for lack of serviet. Chilli con carne was tasty. Pancakes with maple syrup and icecream was delicious. Wetherspoon toilets are always excellent but this one lacked paper. It was very clean though. Would recommend it o

smashing pub — couldn’t fault it. better than all the pretentious fancy wine/beer bars in chapel allerton. several quality real ales on tap at any time and so much cheaper than seven/further north etc.

Food was good and they put on a good party. Was supposed to be in a private room but turned out not to be. Had to wait a while to be served at the bar, kept serving others round the bar despite me being stood there a while, wasn’t impressed at that.

As far as Wetherspoons pubs go, this has to be one of the nicer ones I’ve visited in Leeds. I feel as though that’s a particularly strong sentiment, given that my one and only visit to the Three Hulats was during that fated England vs. Italy football match! I’d just finished up a gig with the chaps I play with, and it we were tasked with ‘destination find a pub before extra time began’. We decided to nip over here, and I have to admit, I’d braced myself for some aggressive football fans. I ought not to judge, it seems, as whilst there was plenty of loud growling and shouting, that was all there was.(The shouting does penetrate my ears sometimes, but I was immersing myself in the football vibe –if you can’t beat them, join them, and so on.) In any case. What I found was a pub filled with cameraderie –fans were making space so I could watch, even — and generally the vibe was jovial. Until we lost, of course. And then everyone dispersed in the most sullen fashion, heads bowed, game literally over. To where? Who knows. Home, or on to some other late-serving venue, to drown the sorrows of another year of hope forgone.(Don’t worry, football goes on forever*, so there’s always another chance around the corner.) In between cigs in the large outdoor area, peeking through the window at the game, miniature political conversation with randoms and lagers for the lads(I was on coffee), we had a ruddy lovely little evening right there. I even got into the spirit of things, and enjoyed watching the penalties. I even got tense. The staff were really friendly, and the service was fairly speedy given the volume of male in the place. Other curiosities include their meal deal for kids –if you bring 6 kids, the last gets a free meal, or something. Families, I have concluded, must be huge in Chapel A. I understand there are plenty of other deals for cheap dinners, as standard, so it’s not a bad place to find yourself in should you be in the business of cheap drinks and quick meals. I’m sure you know the deal with Wetherspoons by now. In any case, the locals are lovely, and the place is huge. A great spot for some al fresco drinks, when the weather holds, and certainly somewhere I’ll suggest for watching the football in future. Fab! *Watch the David Mitchell sketch.

Went for the ‘Curry night’ last night with Mr and was impressed with the food– and a bit let down with the service. Don’t get me wrong, it a Wetherspoons after all so I don’t expect them to be winning awards for Customer Service however a little ‘thank you’ from the Bar staff would have been nice. Also, out of three staff behind the bar– only 1 guy was doing some work– the other two women were talking(one very loudly) about her kids school issues– save it for your tortured husband love! You almost put me off my food!!! We had the ‘curry’ offer(curry, rice, naan, poppadum and drink) for £5.49 which you seriously can’t fault for value or portion size– I couldn’t actually finish mine. The meat was good quality, the sauce nice and plentiful and the poppadoms were crisp– what more could you ask for. Food served in 12 minutes, a clean eating environment and nothing pretentious– just does exactly what it’s meant to. Could be done with a few more pleasantries though!

I think the above reviewer must have had too many of them ales and hand pulls he speaks of. This place should be knocked down and started again from the bottom up. I don’t know when he last ate in there but the food is barely edible no natter how cheap it is. This is also the most uncomfortable pub in Leeds without fail. I really can’t understand why but they insist on having the air conditioning on even on some of the coldest nights some patrons would rather be having a hot chocolate than a pint of lager. The one plus side to this place is that it’s like a little birdy. Cheap !!! That’s it. For me it gets a star just for the price of the beer but thats it. Added to that the attitude of the landlord or should I say the landladies husband. To say he is rude would be an understatement. In fact he is everything a landlord shouldn’t be.

Make no mistake, The Three Hulats is most definitely a Wetherspoons pub. Plain, basic and thoroughly unglamorous. Like other Wetherspoons, however, it does what it says on the tin fairly well. The drinks are cheaper than you’ll see anywhere outside of a Sam Smiths pub and there’s usually a decent range of cask ales on offer. Similarly, the food fall squarely into the ‘adequate’ column — not a terrible thing, given that you can eat for under a fiver. It might not be the most suave place in Chapel Allerton, but it’s just about the cheapest. You could do worse.

This is the kind of pub that you could take a family to during the day as they do standard pub food for good value — a beer and and a burger with chips for less than a fiver, nice one. I imagine its nothing special but will fill you up nicely. It covers many of the sports games and has a more slot machines than I have seen outside of an amusement arcade lined up on one wall. There’s a nice beer garden to enjoy in the summer and suffer in during winter, if you smoke. They advertise free wifi but it didn’t seem like the kind of place you would take your laptop to catch up with work or emails, more somewhere to unwind after work or get really drunk in at the weekend. And the latter wouldn’t be hard with all the deals on drinks at the moment.

Great pub if you like ale. Always 10 hand pulls on. And they’ll be different evey time and only £1.70! Food is dirt cheap and some of it is better than the price would suggest :)

Good pub stocking traditional ales and serves a wide range of meals at excellent value. The place is really busy at peak times for example sunday afternoon. We visited on a sunday and waited hours for our food we were told a 20 min wait but it was over an hour between our starters and main course. I would visit again but not on a sunday.
