The food may be good but watch out for them charging for take out/delivery items which don’t appear with the delivery! this has happened twice to me. When I called today to make my order, I mentioned the last delivery was without chilli sauce which I’d paid for. The guy basically didn’t believe me which I found very insulting, rude and preposterous! Anyway, I carried on regardless only to find instead of giving me my chilli sauce for free this time, he’s actually charged me! Unbelievable! I called immediately to point out that this was unfair. The guy was defensive and argumentative and when I said I would not be buying food from them any more he simply replied, ‘not a problem’. Is this business so rich and successful that they don’t care about losing custom? I have been buying take away food regularly from them for the past 6 – 7 years but today was the last time. I would advise the manager to look closely at his staff members attitude and consider training in customer relations. Very, very poor.

For years now I have occasionally ordered delivery food from Sorrento’s and it has up until now been satisfactory. As of Saturday 19 March this establishment changed for the worst. Having ordered a Doner Kebab with salad and chiili sauce, chips and a can of Coke I was told it would take 20 minutes. When the food arrived I was hugely disapointed. There was hardly no meat in the kebabit didnt taste any good, the chips looked and tasted like they were cooked a week in advance and reheated in the microwave and they sent me a can of pepsi and not a can of Coke. To top this all off it cost me £7.00 and it took them an hour. I certainly would not recommend ordering food from this establisment. A total rip off.

I have been to Sorrento a few times and always enjoyed it. It is set in a residential estate opposite the Devon pub where I also frequent. There are a few tables but enough to have some privacy or for a large group. The times I have been have usually been in a large group, for a birthday or Christmas outing and everyone has been catered for and happy with their choice of meal. Some people think their dishes have a little too much garlic added but I really enjoy their pizzas and lasagne. A great night out, especially if living locally.

This place has been open for years and I’ve always been a fan. The restaurant isn’t massive so best book if you want to go on a Friday or Saturday night as it gets busy as its quite popular. They tend to do a mix of pizza and pasta options but do have some specials to choose from. I’d recommend getting one of the pizzas as they are huuuge and really tasty. And then after you’ve had your fill of pasta or pizza you can hop over the road to the Devon pub for a few drinks. They also have a takeaway which I have frequented on many a Friday and Saturday night after a few in the Devon pub, I’d recommend the cheesey chips. Mmmmmm
