So, we got some flyers with promotional vouchers through our door from the new pizza hut that had opened in Headingley recently and I’d not really intended to use them but an opportunity came along(i.e. it was getting really late, we’d nothing in and we were starving) to call up and take advantage of the delivery service. We ended up going for a two for one deal and I opted for my usual — pepperoni. It took an absolute age to arrive(with my stomach ever gurgling as we waited — somehow Halo Reach wasn’t passing the time very well!) but once it did I was pretty happy. My pizza was of a generous size, more than enough really as there’s no need for gluttony, and the base was nice and crispy. I believe they fry it in oil or oil the base before putting it in the oven, so that it is more tasty. Whatever they do it works for me! My boyfriend’s pizza was much less satisfying. He’d ordered the garlic cheese stuffed crust, which of course looks immense in the image, but on arrival it was really disappointing. The crust didn’t actually have much cheese in at all and it was as if the crust was barely cooked — there was no melting, as depicted on the menu! Sad times. Maybe they cooked his first and it cooled as mine was finishing up? Who can say. We were all a little upset and it has underlined the fact that I’m only going to bother with their standard deep dish from here on in, as it is much nicer. Of all the chains I like their pizza best but I was a disappointed by the waiting times and the stuffed crust situation. For deep pan it’s all good.
