Amber Lounge

Der Amber Lounge ist der Nachtclub, wie es die Engländer nennen. In Deutschland würde ich es eher Disco bzw. Club nennen.
Hier treffen sich alle Altersklassen zum Tanzen und Trinken.
Das Trinken wird großgeschrieben. Da um 2 Uhr alles dicht gemacht wird, geben die Engländer auch wirklich Gas, in der kurzen Zeit viel zu Tanken.
Den Eindruck gewann man auch schon vorher in den Pubs und Restaurants. Aufgrund der verkürzten Ausgehzeit, muss halt alles schneller gehen.
Die Disco ansich ist ok, eben eine Disco, ohne große Highlights, wenn man nach deutschen Maßstäben geht. Für Knutsford aber sicherlich ein Gewinn.
Der DJ steht etwas gelangweilt an den Turntables bzw. CD-​Playern und spielt aktuelle Hits und Classics. Kurz vor 2 Uhr leer es sich merklich und um Punkt 2 geht das Licht an! Ende!
In Hamburg geht es dann mancher Orts erst los!!! ;-))

I took some friends to Amber on Saturday night. We hadn’t been previously but it came highly recommended by a friend who is from Knutsford. You know what, it was iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiite.
Amber lounge is just off King street which is littered with some rather nice restaurants. Via Via isn’t far away. On the weekends this affluent village comes to life. I always found it bit scary though, for some reason I get flashbacks of the Wicker man. Must be the echoing laughter of people as they walk away into the distance leaving behind an eery silence as you walk past them. I guess that is ironically the appeal. I love the venturing into the unknown, I loved Wicker man and I love Knutsford. It is a destination night out. Ideal for dinner, drinks and evening with friends or your other half.
The atmosphere was fantastic when we were there, the place was heaving, decent, mostly local crowd. I always find that there is always a hint of adventure when you’re in a place for the first time. I don’t think its necessarily the venue but the different crowds that create those sentiments. I thoroughly enjoyed my night here and so did my friends.
They do themed night pretty much every weekend to keep things fresh. It really is a case of build it and they will come kind of scenario here. The gamble has paid off Amber lounge works. An up market night spot hidden away in Knutsford for those regularly looking for a good night spot in Manchester.
I am still sulking from missing the Charlie & the Chocolate factory night. Booooooo! Oh well I hear May bank holiday bonanza is being planned, miss that I shall not. So plan to go Knuts in Amber one night! I did and it was gooooood ;) I Unilocal you not.

The amber lounge is a pub this one is in knutsford and they have another one in northwich, when you go through the door its quite strange décor, large lamps and candle sticks and ad you move into the seating area it is quite and relaxing. it is saturday afternoon, and at a different time i know it can be full of people crammed in. The cocktail jugs and wonderfull, full with fresh fruit and ice, we had a cranberry one it was delightful. the bottles of wine are very cheap there is nothing better than sharing a jug of cocktails with your friends. The staff are young but chatty the toilets were clean.
