This is my first time experiencing Belgian Waffles. I’ve heard so much about them but I’ve never actually eaten them so I knew I was in for a treat. You should take this review with a pinch of salt as I do not have any other experiences eating waffles but you should be rest assured that the food was delicious and I would say above average. The waiting staff were very kind and they even let me take a picture of the waffles behind the counter when I asked if I could. The staff allowed us to try out the different Gelato’s before we ordered the «Dream Team» (a chocolate waffle with a scoop of Gelato on the top).
I ordered the mint Gelato and the taste was very comparable to those that I had in Florence, Italy so that was a very good sign. The waffles were warm and crispy and the chocolate decoration on the top made the dish look gourmet.

The store was pretty empty which should have told us something odd, this store being on a busy high street on a hot day. I guess there was nothing wrong with the service we received, the staff did what they had to — but no more — and it’s not doing anything more that made it an average experience. I did find all of the staff polite though and friendly enough.
The food was, again, average with no special care about presentation which is a shame. Waffles and Ice Cream lend themselves to some creative presentation. Even if they copied what the picture on the menu looked like then that would have been something but they didn’t.
The cost was too high for what was served. The portions were small although the ice cream was good.
