I drove my family from Epsom to visit this Kingston franchise of Creams. My young children were excited and so when we found the doors locked at 11:57 they were upset. We had checked the Creams Website prior to leaving and the store was supposed to be open an hour earlier at 1100. A lady inside signalled to me that they would open at Noon. So we waited. About ten minutes later another lady came to the door and said they were decorating and the store would open at 1300 now. I asked why the website still said 1100 and there was no sign up to tell us and the other customers who were outside about this change. She didn’t answer my questions and was quite curt simply repeating we should return at 1300. She could have handled this a lot better. Sadly, we couldn’t wait, having other plans, and left with a very negative perception of Creams and two upset Children. Clearly the Kingston franchise has a lot to learn about customer communications and service and it’s letting the Creams brand down badly.

Horrid service. Only bonus is the sugary goodness of bubblegum ice cream. Horrible service.

Yet another review that I would have liked to put as 3.5. The ice cream in this place is soooooo good. The service in this place is soooooo bad. The staff aren’t rude, in fact quite the opposite, but they are slow, and make a lot of mistakes. You pay for your ice cream at the till, then wait at a counter to be served. The guy doing the serving gave the guy before us his ice cream, explained the process to two other people, and then went off to do something else without serving us. They also forgot to make one of our party’s crêpe. But the ice cream is sooooo good.

I have been hear with my young daughter a few times and its ok. The staff are not the best and there was a time I went in and found the music inappropriate(it was 1pm!) and asked for it to be changed and I was met with a snooty response from a 16 year old. The one in Ealing is only mildly better they need to improve he recruitment of good staff!

I decided to treat myself to an ice cream at Creams after a pub dinner by the river and was disappointed by the place. The waiter on shift was pleasant and immediately greeted us(a friend and me) and offered us a table. We politely declined as we were needing to head home and were taking away. This visit was around 7 o’clock in the evening, and there were three members of staff behind the counter plus the waiter, but only one other man paid any attention to us. A moderate £4~ for a two scoop ice cream was paid, and we were handed a ticket each to claim our ice creams further down the counter. The man who took our money didn’t realise that none of the others were paying attention so we were stood for a few minutes trying to make eye contact with a staff member until the same member of staff came to serve our food. Most of the flavours were missing from the display, and the member of staff didn’t know which flavours were which(he had to try the chilli ice cream, declaring it as mint then later admitting it was chilli). We left as soon as we could because of the ridiculously bad service with four visible staff members and one other customer in the whole of the shop. The ice cream was tasty though!
