Always a great atmosphere, especially popular at night as the docks look lovely all lit up. Menu isn’t bad but drinks have always been overpriced and not the best selection.

I went here briefly over the weekend(14÷07÷12) when I went to the Docks in Ipswich for the first time. This lovely establishment is apparently very popular at night time but we went during the day so it was a lot quieter(but still with plenty of customers). We brought a coffee and a chicken and bacon sandwich which totalled around £5.00 –great prices for a prime location– and the food was fully packed(usually you get minimal chicken and low quality pieces of bacon but this didn’t and pleasenty surprised me) and was brought to us briefly. The coffee tasted and looked good with great care took to the decoration of the top of the drink. Would like to go back in the evening to see how the ambience would change. Overall, lovely place for a quick snack.

Architecturally probably the most interesting place to drink in Ipswich with it’s mix of old buildings and new fittings. Large outdoor area by the water is pleasant on a balmy summer night. Just avoid during peak weekend times, as this place can get uncomfortably rammed.

Not a bad bar, just gets really over crowded really quickly and drinks are incredibly expensive. But if you can look past all that then its a very nice view on a summers sunday afternoon

Great place to start your evening but gets too crowded over the weekend and I really hate the plastic Pint glasses

Previously know as the vodka bar with an amazing location and view over the marina it is truly amazing place to enjoy the summer months(or days) with reasonable drink prices. No parking close by so think ahead about parking.

Located on the Ipswich waterfront(which is in the middle of a huge regeneration), Isaac’s consists of a pair of Grade I and II buildings. There is a big beer garden, expecially good for BBQ in summer, but bearing in mind the british weather there are also large parasols with heating and lighting. The food is traditional pub grub: salads, steaks, chips, pies, that sort of thing. There is nothing outstanding, but equally it is not terrible. The view, if you can sit near the quayside is excellent though. The pub is also handy for the town centre, the railway station and also if you are visiting Portman Road for the footy. Parking is a bit of a devil, but if you are lucky there are bays — alternatively driving with the docks to your right, there is a large car park.
