Where do I start, staff are rude, very expensive, food is awful. Menus are rubbish, seating areas are uncomfortable. Whenever we have gone there, always short on staff, & the service is crap.

Oh what a beautiful venue! Best on a beautiful day! The gardens are fab and so is the beer, why don’t you visit today! I’ve been to hangleton manor many times and love the place. It has a fantastic garden which is perfect for the kiddies to run about in as it has a wall all around the edge and therefore is nice and safe. A few good trees to climb too and perfect places to explore too! They have a great selection of badger real ales and they are always kept well. I have eaten here a couple of times and unfortunately the food could be improved. Perhaps it was just because it was a sunny day and therefore very busy. I will definitely have another try at eating here though but regardless it’s a lovely place with ample parking and perfect for a swift pint on the way home from the office! Only 3 stars because of the food — let’s hope I can up this in future!

The food has really really gone down hill. The restaurant has changed hands numerous times during the last few years, and each time there is a small hope the food will go back to its excellent standards of 2007⁄2008. However, this is yet to materialize. The service is lack-lustre in the restaurant. I had a Christmas meal there at Christmas 2011 and it had clearly been microwaved. The meat reminded me of primary school dinner. Awful. The bar is nice to sit in, but the service is blunt and the drinks desperately over-priced. Just avoid it.

What an absolutely beautiful building! I’ve been here quite a few times and the food was fantastic. They have a huge outdoors garden which is great in the summer time, and the bar is separated from the main restaurant which is nice. If going here for a Sunday dinner, I’d definitely recommend booking or coming early in the day. If you prefer an evening roast, the majority of meats have gone by 6/7.00pm which is a shame! Really friendly and welcoming staff.

Very good English pub food. Excellent roasts. Reasonably good service. Good choice of ales and lagers. Open log fire. Generally nice selection of specials. Make sure you book if visiting on the weekend as it gets very busy.

A very popular family destination, Hangleton Manor is one of the oldest buildings around and benefits from a large, well taken care of beer garden that draws the crowds in larger months. It’s come a long way in the last couple of years, with a lovely fresh refurb that is in keeping the original charm, a new food menu, and staff that seem a lot friendlier and accomodating than in the past. Amongst the choices on tap are Hofbrau, Peroni, Guinness and Blackthorn Cider. Real ales include Hall & Woodhouse Tanglefoot /Badgers First Gold real ales and seasonal changes. If you really like the Tanglefoot then you should also try their award winning Tanglefoot Ale pie. Sunday lunch with Turkey or Beef and all the trimmings is very popular so I’d make an early appearance!

Hangleton Manor is an impressive looking, grade two listed building which is a breath of fresh air when the majority of other establishments in the area look a little… well dangerous. Built in the mid 16th Century, the place is extremely popular for wedding receptions which is fine if you’re getting married or attending the wedding but not if you happen to pop in for a nice quiet bite to eat and are swamped by 200 people in their posh frocks. Might be worth phoning ahead if you are going with a group to make sure you don’t clash. Food wise, the menu is huge and has pretty much the same content as a pub where the menu is laminated but is twice the price here. I’m sure its all better produce etc but it still is a bit pricey. £9 for a Sunday Roast is too much for me. That said, you won’t find a better atmosphere for miles around to enjoy your meal so I guess its worth the extra couple of pounds. The garden in the summer is out of this world and once in there, you won’t want to leave!

I visited this restaurant a couple of years ago and the food was fantastic, however i visited on 14÷11÷09 and it has obviously changed hands. The food was cold and bland the service was appalling and this restaurant just does NOT offer value for money. Its is so dissapointing as the restaurant is in such a lovely tudor building. We did have a nice bottle of red wine this is the reason i have given it 1 star. As a patron of many restaurants i would strongly advise not visiting this one.

Having not been in this place for over ten years when, to be honest, it was quite a grotty boozer I couldn’t believe how this place has changed. The pub has been completely refurbished and is now a bar and restaurant. I went there with a large group for a set menu Christmas meal — and have to say that it was delicious ! Really impressed with the quality of the food. Place was packed(not sure what it would be like if it wasn’s Christmas) and so service was a little on the slow side but no worse than any other restaurant at this time of year. I’m sure at quieter times it would be better. Definitely one to recommend.

Essentially good(ish) pub food set in a surprisingly historic and ‘sympathetically’ renovated manor house set in a modern housing estate. The food isn’t spectacular but it’s acceptable, and the menu of the usual pastas, salads, and meat dishes suits a group of varied palates. Open fires in most dining areas and a pleasant dark wood panelled bar make it a bit more special.
