Visited this dump of a pub today, I won’t be going again. It’s dirty and run down. Bar staff are unkept and refused to make eye contact and give the price of the drinks round. Felt like an extremely unwelcoming place. The beer garden is overgrown, decked out with rotting benches topped with ashtrays with last weeks dog ends. The inside of the pub looks like a dosshouse, equally run down and grimy. Portsladers I feel for you, considering this is the only pub near and far. Please take a Taxi or walk down Locks Hill into South Portslade to find another drinking hole. One of the worst Pubs I have ever been to. Avoid at all costs until the area is gentrified.

I used to live in this place so I cannot help but be a fan! This pub is one of the nicest in Mile Oak and also has a very good layout so that different people do not get in each others way. With the saloon bar for pub quizzes and general local shenanigans and the sports bar for everything else. The sports bar has pool, darts, the itbox and a mahussive television for sporting events and with plenty of seating in and around for those watching or just wanting to be in a more lively pub. The saloon bar is generally a relaxing place to chill and most of the regulars sit in here so they can chat to others. The garden is very big and used to have a great climbing frame for kids which has sadly been taken down but still great for the summer time.
