My family held a wake here today, I have to say that the food provided was pitiful, small amount, overpriced and very unimaginative. 55 people three plates of sandwiches and three plates of assorted sweet treats, which were not replenished, also tea and coffee which were not on warmers and not refreshed. All for the bargain price of 550.00! I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you like wasting money and getting no service!

Tucked away in Dial Post on the old Worthing Road off the A24, this old pub offers you a menu that will give you a headache trying to select something from its’ diverse range. All of the food sounds fabulous, and it probably is, haven’t done them all yet. Try the Sussex Smokies, one of the Crown Comforts, or the Winter Saladmmmmmmmm! They have a Specials Board with Venison on for about £20, plus other meals. Homemade puddings include Chocolate Orange Cheescake with Blood Orangeoh dear! Bit pricey but !

What a find. Good home cooked food. Excellent service. Norms Tip. book in the main pub not the conservatory. Only criticism if appropriate was the starter was too hearty. I had the mushrooms on toast which were truly subperb I found as did others in my party that we had to eat it all and therefore the balance thereafter was slightly off kilter. Nit picking really thoroughly enjoyable!

Other than the fact this pub is located in the strangely named Dial Post, its a really great place to head to for a fantastic Sunday roast. The pub is nice and cozy and the staff seem really happy in their jobs. They have plenty of real ales and a good selection of lagers too. The wine menu is concise and not overly priced. The food is a mix of British and some continental but as I say, the Sunday roast is the best for miles. Does get busy so don’t leave it too late or you won’t get a seat.
