Haven’t been here for years, so had a go at lunchtime during the break from the County Cricket match up Cricketfield Road. Lovely place that has had a major refurb since I was in there last. Excellent food and the beer’s good.(I could have a drink ‘cos I got the bus up). They do a fixed price two or three course lunch at quite a good price, 14.50 and 18.50 respectivley. Deep Fired Sardines to start, followed by Seared Tuna and Nicoise Salad. very nice! Makes it harder to walk back to the match.

THEBOAR’S Head in Horsham has many fine attributes. But perhaps the greatest is its loyal band of good-humoured customers. So when the restaurant was being refurbished before Christmas, interest was keen and speculation was rife amongst regulars. One asked, in horror, if the place was being converted to a private house. Another mused that perhaps it was to be Horsham’s first lap dancing club. They were all wrong. The changes give the Boar’s Head an excellent restaurant area. But what the fabulous conversion has not stopped is the Worthing Road establishment remaining a true pub. Please upload your review to Find It

It’s generally much better than before the re-furb. However it falls between two styles — one is the speciality food pub where you go for the superb food and one is the friendly pub with some acceptable things to eat. It’s smack in the middle of these and slightly disappoints those who want one or the other. Given the location is not really going to catch much passing trade, I would suggest they really went for the restaurant angle. In which case the menu needs to be broader. The décor could be made more cosy inside, as the outside is North facing and has some traffic noise. Also smoking is permitted outside, which is not acceptable to me, when there is food being served — or in fact at any time.

26÷08÷10 We’d been to the Boar’s Head from time to time over the last 10 years or so and had mixed to disappointing experiences — We were delighted to find the pub newly(Possibly July 2010) re-opened and with obviously a new broom having been used to great effect. Pub was refreshingly opened up and brightened up — beer fine but the food was the nicest surprise — we had a really good meal top quality — and staff boasted about fresh local ingredients — and were lucky to get a table as we’d not booked — served efficiently and in a friendly style without being overbearing — and very good value. Will be back regularly for the beer, and the food when we can. New people in charge obviously determined to put the pub back on the map and working hard to do so. Dinermight

This place is surprisingly popular with a younger crowd(nice younger crowd) maybe as it has an excellent smoking patio which is heated and covered with some really comfortable furniture. They have plenty of live music here and serve some great food. Last time I ate there I had a really nice steak. Really nice community pub that makes everyone feel welcome.
