Valley View is a bed and breakfast guest house in the village of Calver. It is set in a quiet residential street and makes an ideal base for exploring the Peak District. It has three rooms in the main house and a seperate small cottage that is adjacent to the private car park. The three rooms are named after Derbysire landmarks — Derwent, Haddon and Chatsworth. Each of them are en-suite, spacious, impeccably clean and have an individual character. Tea and coffee making facilties in each room, with complimentary toiletries is also a nice touch. Breakfast is ordered via a form handed in on the previous evening. What an impressive breakfast it is to, a wide range of cereals, or porridge to start, followed by either a fried breakfast where you can pick your components or a set breakfast like smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, omelettes etc. The owner of Valley View is friendly and gives advice on places to visit; the price is fairly reasonable too.
