Costa Coffee

What has happened to Costa Coffee in Hitchin? We used to go there regularly, but after today’s visit we won’t be going there again in a hurry. The seating area just inside the entrance has been totally destroyed, with the comfy furniture has been ripped out and horrible cheap café furniture installed. The whole warm friendly atmosphere has gone, and it is now rather scruffy and unwelcoming. Shame on you !

This is practically my second home. I used to go to Costa Coffee places when I lived in london and I didn’t love them but didn’t hate them either.
But since my son was born, we have been coming here a lot, the coffee is tasty, the staff is lovely and the food is ok too. The outside seating is maybe not so great as it is outside of Iceland and poundland, plus it gets too smokey for me.
Childwise it is great, lots of highchairs, big changing/​disabled toilet plus those mini muffins and babycinos! It is also breastfeeding friendly, they got some sofas and armchairs where you can relax a bit more.
We love this Costa my son more or less learnt to walk in here. The staff are amazing and very friendly, if it wasn’t for the outside it would get 5 star!
