The Coopers is an old traditional looking pub and it used to be a very good real ale pub. Its was a little quiet and not too much went on. It was the sort of pub that had lots of regulars who would always sit at the same table etc. The Coopers was then took over by a different brewery and got rid of the real ale and replaced it with lager and karoke nights. I visited the Coopers when it was owned by the new brewery and the feeling of the pub had completely changed, it was busier but didn’t have such a nice atmosphere. In the last couple of years the Coopers reputation has really gone down-hill and recently I would have been quite scared to drink there. It has very recently been taken over by another new owner who will hopefully be able to turn the Coopers around and restore it to the quiet, pleasant old inn it used to be.
