Only spent 2 hours here, on a Sunday night butttt Very friendly staff(hot bartender mentioned one of my favorite movies in conversation!), they serve Blue Moon(makes me think of home — California) and the seating was spread out so you weren’t knocking elbows with the couple next to you or knocking off coats. Prices too similar to Central London prices. I guess they get away with it cause it’s an upscale bar. Good for them. I’ve heard Fridays and Saturdays are packed — 4 rows deep at the bar. I’ll have to write another review after this weekend. ;) XX

Your run of the mill wine bar, caters for a slightly older crowd and the pre-club set. Pleasant atmosphere and generally no hassle which is good. Gets very busy on the weekend although the bar is efficient and friendly. Good for either evening drinks or a spot of lunch.

Baroosh is a sophisticated wine bar/restaurant in the centre of Hertford. It is open from around 9.30am until late into the evening, and serves food and drinks. They can cater for parties, and it would be ideal for a work do, as it is relatively classy, yet relaxed. The food is really good quality, serving a range of food, from coffees and cakes, to soups, paninis, chips, steaks, sausage and mash, seafood, pastas and salads and their desserts are to die for! The staff are always really welcoming in there, and it is a really relaxing environment. You normally get typical office worker types in there. The menu can be relatively expensive, and you can probably expect a two course lunch to cost between £15−20. I think the food is definitely worth the price charged, although I do not go there on a regular basis, mainly because I cannot afford these prices, as much as I enjoy the food!
