The Bent Arms is one of the nicest pubs in Lindfield. It used to be a regular haunt of mine back in the days of my teens and whilst it may have changed hands and gone a little more ‘up market’ since then, it still is a great pub. They have a wide range of dark star local ales on tap and an interesting range of bottled beers in their fridges. What used to be the pool room upstairs is now a function room and this would be a great venue for a birthday party, if you live in the area. Where the pub really shines though, is in it’s massive garden out back. If you want a nice pub to relax in after a hard weeks work, then the bent is a better venue than most. The interior is also a nice place and since the refurb the beams and wood of the pub have been brought back to a good state. The staff seemed a good enough bunch last time I popped in and I imagine if you swung by enough for ‘regular’ status you could turn up on your own and enjoy a beer and a chat with your pint puller. Being in Lindfield, it also carries that extra little charm that the village holds and the walk is nice back into Haywards Heath when you decide to hit the road. A really nice place.

I’ve been frequenting this place for years and it used to be a popular destination for heavy metalers(me included) as the dukebox had some great tunes available. Its gone all posh now but has still retained a certain amount of charm. Its a beautiful old building and there’s so much space inside so ideal for large groups. They serve Dark Star beer which is a lovely bitter indeed. Its got an absolutely huge garden which is great for whiling away the summer weekends.
