I’m not a princess when it comes to accommodations. As long as its clean and I don’t fear being eaten alive overnight by bedbugs I’m pretty happy. Given my minimalist criteria, this hotel more than met my standards. I booked it because it was close to terminal 5 and we had morning flights from London. It was a happy discovery on checking in to find the POD… that could be the coolest way I’ve ever traveled to an airport-I LOVEDIT! All airport hotels should have PODs! Outside of hotel won’t win any beauty awards, but room was clean(although dated as other reviewers have stated). Best discovery was the terrace bar that parallels the runway. My companion and I are ex-USAF so getting to sit outside in the warm June evening, have a meal and watch airplanes take off was more than we could have ever asked for. It was a glorious night!

We booked here because you could get parking included which meant it worked out cheap. Staff were pleasant enough but the room was very dated and scruffy, the outside is extremely ugly and needs a facelift. The food very over priced. It was 11 pound for a half cooked £3 frozen goodfellas takeaway pizza. Wine was not very good and was expensive for what it was. We might stay again but only as its cheap. I would recommend eat elsewhere before you go there or book somewhere better.

Booked here because it’s the only hotel on the Pod line. Which makes it ridiculously easy to get here from London. Take the Tube to Terminal 5, go to level 2, and take a Pod to the parking lot by the hotel. No cabs or buses. Sure, It’s ₤5 each way, but it’s remarkably convenient. Hotel is reasonably clean, if somewhat dated. Was relatively quiet. HVAC controls in room use a horribly designed remote — but that’s about the worst thing I can say about this hotel. Staff was very friendly. Will probably stay here again.
