Every time I walk past this store, I get hit in the ankles by some form of remote control car/​dog/​boat/​alien. And it makes me squeal with joy and run in to play with all the other toys.
Hawkins Baazar is the perfect place for present purchasing. They sell puzzles for your dad and granddad. Cute plushies and noisy toys for the kids in your family. Remote control things for your partner who’s a kid-​at-​heart. Robot fish that swim in a tank for your mum. EVERYTHING. And it’s all pretty cheap too.
It’s definitely sensory overload as Matt R says, but in THE BEST WAY POSSIBLE.

I’m not sure what to say about this place other than OMFG ITS AN OLD SCHOOL TOY STORE! Stepping into Hakings Bazaar is an experience all on its own.
It’s kind of like sensory overload with all of the flashing lights and noises but that’s thee reason I love it!

This shop is situation in the Lower Mall in Bluewater next to Marks and Spencers. It is a great shop for traditional toys like the Rubixs cube to fun toys like toilet golf as well as some great stocking fillers. It’s also a good place to buy items to put in home made christmas crackers like the old fashioned fish that curl up in your hand and jumping beans (remember them?). I bought quite a few little stocking fillers like a growing penguin, a little man that my toddler can bend bubbles, a Kazoo (that you blow) all for under £1 each. This shop will take you back to your childhood.
The service is also really good as I asked if they sold a certain type of item and the lady said they used to and went to their store room to see if they had any of the items left. Unfortuantely they did not but she went out of her way to help me.
