This is a very popular Chinese restaurant with the local population. The décor of the place is lovely and the food is of a good standard. However, service is not always so. The last time I went, I waited half an hour on drinks coming. This happened twice in the same night. To be fair to staff, there was a very large birthday table that they were attending to, but it did spoil our enjoyment of a well earned dinner treat out. This won’t stop me going back though as the food is good and I am hoping it was just a blip in their standards of service.

I am sad to say my fave Chinese restaurant has changed owners. I don’t know why but noticed it on Facebook a week ago. Although I knew this we wanted to get a take away to check this out and hoped it would be the same amazing delicious standard. The food looked similar if not slightly greasy and less portion size, the worst of it is that both my husband and I was up all night feeling sick. I am a few months pregnant so this isn’t good never mind both of us feeling that bad. The food tasted nice and nothing seemed off or undercooked etc but we certainly didn’t feel well until midday the next day. I am very sad the new owners have disappointed and from reading other reviews others feel the same and I am not the only one. I will need to find another Chinese that can match what Tigerlily used to be, a very sad day indeed.

Brilliant meal in a relaxed atmosphere with friendly, attentive service and fantastic value on great tasting food. Big change from previous incarnation as China Palace, buffet restaurant, but looks to have been a great decision. Family loved it too so it’s not just that I’m biased because I live locally. Looks as though it will be a regular haunt for us again.
