The Bowlers Bar

I’m ashamed and astounded to say that, despite living within walking distance, I had no idea this place existed until last week. I went along to a gig on Saturday night and I was pleased to find a decent pub, with free wifi and cheap drinks, which is all you need from your friendly local!
In traditional pub style, there’s a bar and a lounge, although it’s not your typical smelly-​old-​man-​pub, it’s much more modern in terms of its décor and inviting atmosphere.
I was pleased to see posters advertising regular gigs and it’s lovely to see a wee pub like this making the most of what it has to offer and providing a cosy corner for locals to gather and enjoy some good music with a purse-​friendly pint.
