Be prepared to queue at this Starbucks. However, I am glad they have now opened another one at the other end of the centre in the new Cineworld Cinema, this should hopefully take the heat off of them a bit. Regardless of this, the staff are always polite and friendly and I have never had a problem with any of the drinks I have ordered. On a side note though, if you do visit them late at night they will only have a small selection of cakes on display, as I presume they don’t want to put any more out for waste/stock rotation reasons etc etc.

Globalisation? At this point in time, I don’t give a damn. As with all Starbucks it’s pretty darn busy, but once I’ve found a seat it’s usually my getaway driver while the wife trawls the makeup counters. The queues are way too long, the soft furnished seats upstairs are manky with god-knows-what, the tables are usually dirty and the coffee’s not as good as I’d like, but at this moment in time I really don’t care. It’s my Man bar where I shun consumerism and I’m completely apathetic about the globalised economy — although I’m obviously being selective on how I define consumerism* :-/ * con·sum·er·ism — noun. The preoccupation of society with the acquisition of consumer goods.(But not coffee. Or beer.)

Starbucks at silver burn is always a pleasant trip as it always has an atmosphere. It’s usually always busy and usually a short cue but you always get served quite fast! The customer service is great and you can always have a talk to the staff while making your coffee. The seating is really good their is some seats on the bottom floor I’ve only sat here a few times but if you want to relax and watch the world go bye choose the top floor ! The top floor is a big opened planned space with couches and comfy seats I personally love getting the sofa near the glass panels which overlook the shopping centre so you can have you coffee and watch the whole shopping centre. Overall perfect location, very friendly staff, quick service & great drinks!

Have you ever just seen a place and had this warm comforting feeling, when you just say… aaahhh yes. That’s what I get with this Starbucks every time I am at Silverburn among the many many shops and shoppers. I think it is because when I was travelling I used to always feel a bit more at ease when I saw a Starbucks, as if I was safer and knew a little more about the place I was travelling. Ridiculous I know, but that’s the power of Starbucks and franchise. So when I’m back home and looking for a spot to rest my super tired feet and eat some D-lish rocky road cake bar thing, Starbucks always has my fav comfy couches waiting on me(except when its really really busy). This is the one fault of this Starbucks, its not too big so there aren’t many seats, it’s about knowing when to go… if you want a seat that is.

As much I like a good cup of tea and have warmed towards Starbucks, I never thought I would rave about one but this Starbucks has all the ingredients for a perfect coffee break. Situated in Silverburn shopping centre, you enter to a tiny, familiar counter with all the usual Starbucks treats but when you climb the stairs — wow. A huge expanse of tables and chairs and couches on a balcony area overlooking the shopping centre! It is especially nice at Christmas as you look down upon the most beautiful Santa’s grotto I have ever seen and a children’s choir singing carols. Bliss. Only reason it is not getting 5 stars is because it’s a Starbucks and I just can’t bring myself to do it.
