It’s a Costa Coffee, and somewhere to eat or grab a nice drink in an area otherwise devoid of things I’d eat. For that reason, I’m a fan. Service is pretty promy, and the place is very much as you’d expect of on of the Costa Drive Thru’s — inside and out. If you’re using costa regularly, get yourself the app and watch as the reward points, which are converted one for one int pence soon add up.

If I’m working out this way, I always go to the drive through to pick up a hot chocolate(I don’t do coffee or tea) the service hads always been quick and staff have always been friendly. I can’t comment on sitting in as I’ve never done it.

Meh! That about sums up my experience. I went for my first ever coffee drove thru as my son was fast asleep in the car & I didn’t want to wake him to go in to the supermarket. After waiting what felt like forever in a queue of four cars — roughly a ten minute wait — I had my coffee and muffin and drove off to the nearby rooftop car park to enjoy in the sun. Unfortunately my coffee was wrong — they had forgotten the milk — and I had the wrong muffin. I’m not sure how I give this place more than one star. I’m afraid I won’t be back.

This is a relatively new addition to the Darnley/Thornliebank area, maybe a year or two old. I’m not much of a Costa fan so today was my first visit in my quest to visit all those un-Yelped places across Glasgow. I like drive thrus. I mean, who doesn’t? You don’t have to get out of your cosy car and generally, they can be pretty sweet if they’re efficient. I guess with a Costa the main point is to grab a coffee, but I’m not a coffee person so I was interested to see if food is available in the drive thru. ITIS! Hurrah. I feel like this might be a slippery slope to delicious toastie addiction, but hey, if that’s my destiny then so be it. I ordered an Emmental and mushroom toastie as well as a cup of tea. The tea was ready quickly and they even asked if I wanted the tea bag left in, or taken out. Nice touch. The toastie would take a while longer so I parked in the car park and waited for a few minutes til it was delivered to me. I ate it when I got home and it was still nice and warm, and actually really delicious. I didn’t expect that. It had a nice coating of cheese on the outside as well as inside it so that was an added bonus. Yep, I would happily eat this toastie again.
