Good Chinese takeaway in Partick. They have a great offer — 4 dishes for £11.49. These are full main-meal size portions so great for sharing between several people, and there’s a wide range of dishes to choose from in the offer. There are soups, starters and large side portions in the list as well as the main dishes. I’ve only ordered from this part of the menu before but if you fancy something else the rest of the menu is massive so your favourite dish is bound to be in there somewhere! Yesterday we ordered online via Just-Eat and our order arrived around half an hour later, well within the delivery time stated. I’ve had various veggie dishes from here and they’ve all been spot on.

Really impressed with the range of options on the menu and happily polished off a takeaway the other evening. The delivery came within an hour(as it had advertised on the website) and we were given free prawn crackers too– nice touch. The thai green curry was suitably tasty; smooth with a kick at the end. We had the mushroom thai curry, though vegetable options are also available, along with chicken, beef etc as to be expected(it seems quite unusual to have a mushroom only option, but it was really well done and the perfect texture). We also had szechuan tofu, which came with thin triangles of sliced and fried tofu, ideal chopstick serving size. The sauce was piquant– all the vegetables were sliced in delicate slivers and really well made. Very pleasant. Our accompaniments were not that authentic– but we did enjoy our chips and egg fried rice!

This is the only place I get take-away meals from in Glasgow, other than the every-now-and-then fish & chips. Tonight was the first time I have grabbed food just for myself, and it has proven, scientifically, that one portion from Shangri-La is waaaay more than enough for one person. The staff are lovely there, and always seem to give free prawn crackers away(thank God I didn’t take any tonight or I wouldn’t have eaten my veg). It’s not the Shangri La you’ll find in Paris(google it), but it’s def a lot cheaper, the food tastes really good, is cooked quickly and you will definitely not go hungry. Tonight I had a vegetable chow mein, and I’ve tried heaps of their other dishes in the past, because they have a deal where you can buy 4 different dishes for £10. :D I’ll try and take a photo of their very extensive menu to give you an idea, because they deliver which is a great option if it’s one of those nights that you can’t be bothered cooking, but should be home doing stuff like I should be doing right now… 5 mins– later update– The menu is really huge, so I’ll upload a photo of the first page, and you can see the rest here: (– I’ve never ordered from Just-eat so can’t comment on this website)
