This is a good little store for picking up lunch items, snacks or even the odd last minute items on the way home that you need for tea!
It’s not a big shop, so clearly the range is somewhat limited but they have lots of fresh bakery items, fresh juices, fruit and snacks. Perfect for a city centre store.
There are two self serve tills and 3 human till points, a member of staff was quick to open another till point when he saw a short queue forming which is great customer service.

I’m really not a fan of supermarket shopping in the city centre — thankfully I don’t have to do it very often. I popped in here to grab some last minute snacks for an event at the nearby Craft Pottery.
This is a small Sainsbo’s with a small-​ish range. They did have everything I needed though — which was crisps and paper towel. The guy on the checkout was exceptionally helpful so big shoutout to him (Daniel, I think his name was) and packed the crisps into bags with flair like I’ve never seen at Waitrose. He’s the reason this is a 4 not a 3-​star review.
Prices are reasonable, they have a good range of home brand crisps and a few of the varieties are even vegan (who knew bacon crispies would be made from beetroot?!). I’d go here over the nearby Tesco, for sure.

I find this a good store due to the location in sauchiehall street. Ideal shop for grabbing those last minute items before heading home from work.
The shop has a bakery section with many items two for one price.
Meal deals available on lunch items and always plenty of good value sparkling water that always comes in handy for the gym. Selection of beer’s and wines available in store.

Apart from the security guard staring at everyone who walks in the door, this place is A-​OK. Nothing special, a little bit pricy and just about in the right location for grabbing those last minute bits and bobs before jumping on the bus home.

Not a place to do your big weekly shop. However this Sainsbury’s Local, like most of them, comes in handy for the odd wee nick nack when you really can’t face waiting in the queues in large supermarkets.
The range of stock is better than expected with every available inch crammed with something. It’s also a handy off license for the area and is used extensively by students and jaikies (or both).

I definitely agree with Steven that this place can feel pretty cramped and claustrophobic. Though, something about me does love the sheer determination that has went into it. Sainsburys has obviously seen a tiny empty unit, went for the lease and then packed as much produce in here as possible.
Considering this seems to have been their aim, it has been meet. I wouldn’t dream of venturing in here for a sandwich at lunchtime (far too busy with suits, students and pensioners). However, for a late night dash to pick up some booze or a key ingredient for a midnight feast which is unlikely to be stocked in a newsagents; this place is a good bet.
But, be warned it doesn’t stock tequila. A shocking discovery made by me and my friend at around 9.50pm on a Saturday night.

A decent Sainsbury’s Local on Sauchiehall Street.
‘Local’ roughly translates as a shop that is really small, based on the size of this one and that’s the main annoyance here is that it can be a bit cramped.
They do a decent bakery and it’s good for picking up bits and bobs if you’re going to the GTF for e.g. but if there’s a Co-​Op and Tesco just up the road a bit and a proper big Sainbury’s down the road in the opposite direction which stops me from actively seeking this place out.

This is a tiny little Sainsburys but it is handy for my work so I sometimes pop in. You would not be able to do a full shop here but it is good if you just need a couple of items. It is quite pricey though. I am not sure if it is just this branch but it seems more expensive than Morrisons or Tescos. On a positive note it is very clean and the staff are really nice. Negative is you always seem to need to wait to get served even if it seems quiet you can never get served straight away. They so sometimes have some good offers on though and these are always well advertised.
