Primark

Loved this shop, lots of variety and very helpful and useful staff, it is a good shop for keeping up trends that will not break the bank, I found the bed linen to be of very good quality also, A shop I will be using again.

I wrote my initial review when I was pregnant and lived in pjs whilst at home, so I think my original 5 star review was a bit biased!
This shop is big and sells clothes and accessories for men, women and kids, along with a growing homeware section. The clothes are cheap and cheerful, so it’s a great place to pick up some specific items for holidays or a cute dress or top. I’m tall, so a lot of their clothes just aren’t the right proportions for me, but their jersey maxi skirts are and at £10 they wear okay and last as long as you would expect for a relatively cheap item of clothing.
I don’t rate the baby clothes here much, vests, bodysuits etc. seem to be very small size wise which is frustrating when you pop in for an emergency change of clothes! They do have nice bright kids clothes though which I do like but they don’t wash and wear as well a even the supermarket ranges which tend to be roughly the same price.
The queue always seem to be long in this store but there are always lots of till points open and it never fells like you have to wait long in the line.
I am still addicted to their pjs though :)

I don’t usually shop here. I went to buy mail trunks, also known as underwear, aka under crackers.
They had a sign above them saying £7 reduced to £5.90. I asked one of the staff was that them all on that rack. She said yes, any price £7 is reduced. I went to the counter with3 packets.
I asked her to double check. She said they were £7 as manager said so. Do me a favour. Take your sign down or state what ones are reduced, and make sure all staff know.

What can one say about primary… its cheap trendy and you need to make your you try on the clothes because they aren’t always sown well… but if you looking for a cute dress or outfit for the moment their great! Cute cheap PJ’s and onesies glory .
Large lots of selection, more office and women’s clothes rather then just teens at this location.
Cheap beading and scarfs!

OK well contrary to the so-​so reviews this place gets here, I’m gonna bump it up a notch.
Visiting here from the US, where the sizes run larger than they are everywhere else in the world, I love clothes shopping in Europe where the sizes are more appropriate to how they fit me.
For example, in the US, I try to find boys XL clothes, but sometimes they got that pixie look, which I don’t necessarily want. mens XS are super hard to find unless they are designer labels such as Hilfiger. Most of the time, mens S are still too big for me.
Stopped at three stores today to look around in. The last one being Debenham’s, where they had a huge sale going on, and grabbed a few items. I still didn’t like em 100%.
Ran into Primark at ’round 6:45 in the evening, and went directly to the super-​black jeans (£8), which are hard to find in my size usually. Also found an XS tee-​shirt for £2.50. What a steal!
Asked around a fitting room, though the staff ppl said they were already closed in anticipation of the store closing. Graciously, they opened em up for me and I tried both items on in less than five minutes, and heavan forbid, they FIT!
If it weren’t for them, they wouldn’t have had this sale, and I woulda walked out.

I absolutely love getting a good bargain and this is the place to get one or five or six. You tend not to walk out with just the one item. ‘Ooh, that’s only a pound, och another wee buy won’t hurt.’ Ehhh!
Well, on this occasion I was in to swap a wee pair of slippers I had been given as a Christmas present. Not that I didn’t like them as I loved them but they were too small, I just couldn’t fit into a ¾ size, I did try.
So I tried to see if I could get a replacement, I failed at the East Kilbride branch so thought to try one of the Glasgow branches instead. I headed to the slipper area and searched and searched and searched but alas I couldn’t find my slipper. *Sad face!* They had it in other colours, which I wouldn’t have minded as it was the same style but they only had big massive sizes.
I approached a young assistant, Katie, and I asked if she could help me in my plight for slipper swappage. She was lovely and excellent help, she took me to the section I had looked and she explained because they had went into the sale they were flying off the shelf. She said she would check in the back for me and I asked if it was possible to call the other branch or if I would need to go myself. I’ve had that with another shop and they said they didn’t call other branches and the customer has to go themselves. I can’t remember who, so I have clearly erased this bad customer service from my cranium.
Unfortunately there was none in the back and then she asked if I would like to come with her while she phoned the Argyle Street branch. She explained some people feel they’ve been left abandoned as the call can sometimes take a wee while as the other branch is usually very busy. I thought that was very good service and was happy to go with her. She had a wee chat while she was waiting but it didn’t take too long at all. Alas I was out of luck and they had none left in my size in any of the colours.
So, she suggested having another look at the other slippers available and I said I really like the style so would like something as similar as possible. So she picked a few styles for me and I managed to get a lovely pink ‘snug as a bug’ pair. *Happy face!*
She directed me to the Customer Services and I thanked her for her help. She was excellent and I felt attended to and even though I couldn’t get what I wanted I went away a happy customer.
Now, she did warn me as the pair I had chosen weren’t in the sale that I would need to pay the difference, which I thought was a bit unfair as they were purchased at full price in the first place. I didn’t argue with the girl at Customer Services but my dad thought it was wrong. Hmmm?
Anyhoo, I would gladly shop at Preeeemark again without a doubt. I love there clothes, although they sometimes can be a bit off the mark or is that me getting old. Who knows?! *Wink face!*

You can get some good bargains here, you just have to be willing to look through a lot of clothes to find the quality clothes.

Good old Primark, you can get all sorts for next to nothing and I recently found out that their customer service is just as good. I bought a bag from this branch a few weeks ago but on my first outing with it the handle broke off, I was so mad and looked like a fool carrying my broken bag around like it was a baby. I looked all over for the receipt but couldn’t find it anywhere, so I thought I’d go in and see if I could get an exchange even though I was receipt-​less. It was only £9 but still, my £9 was now a broken bag and I figured that if you don’t ask, you don’t get.
Thankfully the customer service desk wasn’t crazily busy like the cash desk and I could just walk straight up. I explained my dilemma to the friendly staff member and she said it was no problem to get my money back or and exchange it. As I liked the bag I just got another one and was very happy with both my new bag and the great customer service.
To be honest, I don’t buy loads of stuff from Primark but I usually pop in for socks, pyjamas accessories and bags for Uni, and it’s good to know that they offer a good exchange and returns policy.

A veritable shit storm on a clothes hook if you ever happen to breeze through this joint during the frenzied hours of the weekend/​holidays.
Cheaper than the cheapest chips sold second hand with some nasty stains on them that dramatically reduce the resale value, this is the número uno bottom of the basement store for stupidly affordable basic body covering garments… or clothes as they are sometimes known.
Primark really caused a right old fuss when it launched its range of gear and to be honest is a place that’s worth a look for some cheap, if slightly… ok, quite simply made items.
Find it on the Street of Sauchihall and beware, you nerves will be frayed, your ribs will be bashed and your shoes scuffed… but hey, your wallet will still be fat enough to justify a pint or two to ease the beating.

I don’t know. I just don’t know.
I also don’t know how many times I have been dragged here by ladyfriends only to get really angry that they walk out with 4 bags full of t-​shirts, skirts, tops, underwear, the occasional jacket etc… and it only cost them about £20. It’s mental.
It gets a bit hectic in here, and there’s always clothes lying around on the floor which is off-​putting.
I have bought approximately one thing from here: cheap shoes.
A mate of mine once called me around 7 o clock on his way into town from Kilmarnock asking me where he could buy shoes. I queried what he was wearing at the time, and he confirmed that he did indeed have shoes on but they were approaching the status of ‘done’.
I challenged him that his task was impossible but an hour later he strolled into The Drum and Monkey wearing a brand new pair of shoes. I couldn’t believe it.
Where did he get them? Primark!
I picked up a pair a few days later at a price that roughly equated to around 20p per toe and wore them to a festival.
They shoes almost lasted the entire weekend, with every bump and slope on the ground making indentations on the soles of your feet.
But hey, that’s Primark for ya!

Primark is infamous, and I don’t think I have to explain why.
Whatever you want, whatever you need, you can find it here for under £20 — and that’s an overstatement. You can purchase shoes for as little as £3, jeans for under a tenner, and t-​shirts for… well, pennies, I suppose.
I personally cannot stand to set foot in the place. The ever-​stuffy environment, complete chaos, lack of organisation and level of noise created by screaming children positively chills my bones. For cheap plimsoles, though, I will occasionally make an exception and venture in for a short period of time.
Believe me, I have given this place a number of attempts. I cannot seem to find a thing that fits, and the few things I did purchase in the beginning tended to shrink or become misshapen in the wash. Successful purchases have included a couple of cheap bangles for an outfit, a skirt for a halloween costume, and of course, some cheap shoes. Oh, and socks. They are absolutely wonderful for socks.
You go into Primark knowing what to expect. Whether you like it or not is entirely up to you.

Primark is really a hit or miss shop.
It’s either rammed with horrific clothes, in horrific colours and filled with horrific people mauling each other to get to the £5 dresses. OR, it’s got exactly what you want, or need, for a bargain price.
For example: yesterday, I managed to get an entire halloween costume: t-​shirt, tights, shorts, socks, and (sequin) belt for under £10. Bargainous! Where else could you have gotten such awesome things (especially the belt, which was a one whole pound) for such prices? Nowhere. That’s right.
So, even though Primark is messy, untidy, and sometimes filled with the scariest people and clothes I have ever seen, it’s still worth a rummage, if you have the time and effort.

I probably don’t need to say much about Primark– I’m guessing you’ve got your own opinion on the place. However I will say that this store is ok, but not as good as it’s sister down on Argyle Street.
Im not a regular primark shopper, well I try not to be anyway as I’m growing tired of my clothes having a low life expectancy, however I do stop by on the odd occasion.
On one such occasion I popped by the Sauchiehall branch on my way home from work, and what a sight that greeted me– the place was an absolute mess. I walked up the main aisle, felt bewildered and turned right round again to make a quick exit. Pretty dissappointing. Best missed.

Primark provides the ultimate in bargain shopping and this store is jam packed full of high fashion bargains jumping off the shelf into your basket!
I don’t think I’ve ever left this shop empty handed, however that’s more due to my bargain hunting prowess than the virtues of this store.
Unfortunately, this store is the weakest link in the Primark chain in terms of layout, organisation, tidyness and general helpfulness.
The tills are usually understaffed no matter what time of day or day in the week you find yourself in there and if you happen to go in on a busy Saturday — you’ll have to fight your way through the piles of clothes dropped on the floor to find what you’re looking for.
My final gripe about this store is the same one I have with all Primark stores — the heat. It’s practically tropical in every Primark store I’ve ever been in and believe me — that’s alot!

I found this primark to be a bit cramped as it was busy and there were clothes on the floor. As you walk in they have a good range of clothing for women including underware, tops, nightware etc. the upper level is home to the mens clothing and some house goods including towels and bedding. This is a smaller primark to the one on Argyle Street and thus i tend not to visit here much now unless in the area.
