The foods very average, for the money you expect better, the service is hit and miss some visits great others awful Due to the hit and miss service I’ve stopped visiting which is a shame as I love the glass house, just don’t want to waste my money on visiting a place I come out of feeling annoyed

Came across this restaurant while driving today with my boyfriend and his parents, the glasshouse looked so pretty we actually decided to do a U-turn and have lunch here! There was a wedding on when we went but realised there is a separate restaurant to the wedding reception area. We were greeted by friendly staff asking if we wanted to be seated in the restaurant or in the glasshouse — obviously went for the glasshouse! It was quite large, probably seated around 20 tables(plus the extra tables indoors). The décor was simple yet elegant. There were low hanging glass bulbs throughout and some black and white vintage posters on the walls. I went for the lunch deal which was 2 courses for £9.25 I think, but there was also one course and 3 course deals. I ordered the soup of the day for starter, which was carrot and coriander accompanied with white bread. I don’t like carrot at all but it was quite yummy! Only downside to the starter was when I wanted to butter my bread and the butter was so melted it was just oil in a packet. My boyfriend ordered vegetable pakora for his starter and it was delicious also. For our mains I had a lasagne which came with garlic bread and a side of salad with vinegar dressing — wasn’t overly salty or cheesy which was lovely :). The 2 course definitely filled me up, great value for money! There are also seating outdoors as well for hot summer days, shame it was rainy tomorrow after the week we’ve had!
