Outstanding place. Best veggie or health fast-food I ever had. The stuff ist friendly and extrem fast. They have lots of salads and raps. You can take dishes as well. As ingredients they have Lebanese Chicken, slot roasted Scotch pork, falafel, Turkish meatballs or different kinds of marinated chicken. The salads come with awesome dressings to choose from.

What a fantabulous place! I started off going to the Unilocal event in January and it informed me of this places existence. I have now methodically eaten through most of their menu when i can and all the food has been amazing! Even better its all extremely filing and healthy. They do many different types of food and change their menu from breakfast to lunch as well. For lunch they do delicious humungous wraps ranging from cheera chicken to red dragon pork and falafal. Each menu item has its calories marked on the board so you can keep count of what your taking. They also do various salads, curry boxes and specials as well. I recently had their ramen special which is easily one of the best things ive ever had and it was so big it took me about 20 minutes to eat it! They also do a rang eof desserts and drinks as well as iced smoothies! Now these are absoloutely amazing! Ive had most of them now and even when i dislike many of the ingredients in the smoothie its blend is so nice that im finished before i know it so give them a try! I think my favorite so far is the C More Green smoothie! Its all made fresh daily and put unblitzed into the fridge so its quite a sight to see a cup with a large celery stick sprouting from the top of it lol. All in all go to marthas, now if you can, its hearty healthy food for people on the go and you wont be dissapointed!

I wanted a nice green lunch today after yoga so I decided to go to Martha’s, which I’ve wanted to try for ages. Maybe I just had high expectations but somehow I thought it would be a lot more exciting and vibrant than it was. My salad was pretty good but not mind blowing, I did enjoy my mint lime cucumber smoothie though. On the one hand I appreciate that they do hot drinks with almond milk but I was sad to see Sooo much meat all over the menu. I know healthy doesn’t necessarily have to mean veggie but vegetarian options were very rare and mostly limited to falafel. Most unimaginative veg option everrr. Yawn.

It was Unilocal that sent me to Martha’s today. I’ve been looking for places to grab lunch near my work, and Martha’s certainly ticks all my boxes — independent, healthy, homemade, convenient… I have to say I was a little disappointed by their vegetarian options. In need of something warm and filling, the two available choices was a falafel or a veggie curry. I opted for the veggie curry, and was distinctly underwhelmed. The menu had billed it as a lentil and coconut extravaganza, but what I got was a small portion of potato and carrots served on brown rice, which tasted faintly of my beloved coconut. My companion went for the Lebanese chicken wrap, which seemed to be what every other person in the queue was ordering. Which is usually a good sign, no? My companion described it as «fine», and ended up leaving about a third of it uneaten. The coffee was a little watery(I still drank it, i’m not a monster), and I *controversially* disliked the coleslaw, which seems to be served with everything on the menu. The base of the coleslaw is yoghurt, not mayonnaise, which I suppose is healthier but is also sour and not as nice. Mayonnaise is good, people, don’t turn your back on it. I’d like to return to Martha’s, possibly for breakfast, and give it a second chance as I don’t want to see independent places shunned in favour of big chain restaurants, but I wasn’t blown away. In any case, it looks busy and obviously has a loyal following from locals so i’m sure it’ll be just fine!

I’d forgotten how much I love Martha’s and today was a reminder. A reminder that had taken the shape of a mighty jam-packed wrap bursting with crunchy slaw and delicious falafel; one that had me set for the day ahead. It was HUGE and filling. — Just £4.40 for some seriously tasty, healthy grub. I know I can rely on Martha’s which is why I’m always so excited to return; the quality is consistent with each visit. I have a feeling Martha deserved these five stars all along. Here goes; five seriously well-deserved stars for an amazing local business!

I went to Martha’s with my girlfriend while we were in Glasgow for a couple days visiting from the states. I got the Lebanese chicken wrap and she got the veggie Kerelan curry. My Lebanese chicken wrap was pretty dry. The combination of the dry chicken with the lack of sauce on the slaw in the wrap made this meal too dry for my tastes. The Kerelan curry was pretty good, but the parsley on top wasn’t necessary. Overall fairly good. This wrap shop has a welcoming modern vibe and offered free wifi. Overall, pretty good.

I had a glimpse of Martha’s during a Unilocal event back in January and had be meaning to come back ever since. My boyfriend offered to meet me on my lunch break the other day so that was the perfect excuse to go again. We both ordered wraps, mine was cheera chicken(only 10sp if you’re on weight watchers by the way, how good is that?) and BF had the red dragon wrap. That flatbread is to die for, and I love that the wraps are filled with crunchy slaw. Dry slaw, not super fat drowning in mayo slaw. My only disappointment was that they had run out of chocolate avocado mousse by 12:10 cause I really really wanted to have that again. It was so surprisingly delicious. Och, that means I have an excuse to go again soon. As if I needed one.

Martha’s has a tremendous reputation for its healthy, fast food options and deservedly so — but did you know that it’s also an excellent breakfast spot? Sure, you can get yoghurt or porridge and«make them your own» with the selection of toppings from the MY Bar — but guys, we gotta talk about those breakfast rolls. Made with sustainably reared pork and beef from Ayrshire farms, Martha’s will do you the best bacon or square sausage roll in Glasgow for that Friday pick-me-up — accompanied with what is probably my favourite cup of coffee too. The downside is, of course, that you’re paying twice the price of Greggs — making it an occasional treat.

Long time coming. After many recommendations from my new Unilocaling buddies I have made it to Marthas! It hasn’t disappointed. Great space, relaxed open and full of goodness!!! Staff were so helpful as I think I looked a bit clueless, staring at all the yummy healthy options available. Came in-between brekkie and lunch so opted for a wee juice and light salad. It was super fresh, crunchy and filling. Good start to the day. I will have to come back really soon and make a point of trying all that Marthas has to offer.

I honestly don’t understand why it took me so long to try Martha’s. I mean, it’s exactly my kind of thing! Anyway, I finally tried it a few days ago and went back again today, and I love it! The first time I had the Papaya Green salad, which was super yummy and flavoursome. Definitely no boring salad here! I also had a vegan banana cake, which was incredible. So moist and flavoursome, and just the right balance of sweetness! My second time I opted for the Thai veggie curry, which I loved even more than the salad from the other day. The flavours were just incredible, and the portion size was perfect. I stupidly didn’t think to ask for the vegan coleslaw however, but now I know for next time! I also got a raw peanut butter cake, which I saved for later because I was too full. I think I preferred the banana cake, but the peanut butter one was wonderful too. I haven’t tried their smoothies and juices, but I’m itching to do so. I just love how you can see all the ingredients before you pick one! I have a feeling I’ll be coming in quite a lot for those in summer. And they’re about a pound cheaper than the ones from Juice Garden, so yay! The place itself is really nice for being a sort of fast lunch place. It’s open and clean without being cold and sterile. It feels very welcoming and relaxed. The staff have also been lovely both times I went, and the service is so quick, even during the lunch hour! I got my hot meal within a couple of minutes. The only thing I might have against Martha’s is that it’s quite pricey in comparison with some other places. But I’m completely fine with it, because you really get what you pay for. Healthy, flavour-packed meals with high quality ingredients! I also love how clear they are with what’s vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and so on. Makes it so easy to find what I can have! I’m already looking forward to going back and trying their other salads, soups and flatbreads.

Lawd I have been at Martha’s non-stop! Don’t know how it’s happened but I’m super obsessed with them and their smoothies! Give me everything!!! I’ve tried Martha’s many months back and didn’t really think much of it before, but recently I’ve been on a roll with tasting all their wraps, smoothies and salad! My fav so far is the dragon pork wrap(?)! Sah good y’all! It’s huge too which means a good lunch for someone who’s constantly on-the-go with work aka me. I also just tried their salmon avocado bowl today and even though it’s super simple, it was very good. Like, give me ten more of those bowls goddamnit good! I wouldn’t feel bad scoffing down ten bowls of it either tbh haha #healthy Now, for the star of the show, THESMOOTHIES. Yes, I’ve tried them all, even the ones with unfavourable veges like celery(nngghhhhh). But surprising, all their combinations are delightful! My current fav is the one with green tea, basil, strawberry and mango I think? Top left corner of the shelf haha SOGOOD! £2.95 for a takeaway cup so maybe sometimes you could opt for a smoothie instead of your coffee ey? I also like it that Martha’s has a fast paced style of serving food. It really is a good place for takeaway but of course, if ya wanna sit in, there plenty of seats! But be aware that their lunch hours are usually jammed pack. I looooove Martha’s! I wish I had a Martha’s in my kitchen. It’s really a great healthy and yummy option for your snacking /lunch needs! Pay a visit!

It had to happen eventually, it seems like everyone on Unilocal had been to Martha’s except me so at lunchtime today I ventured forth. I’d actually tried to find it a couple of times before but some scaffolding currently set up outside had thrown me off, until now. I went in and it was all very woody and green, a sure fire indicator that a deep fried crème egg was not going to be on the menu. The staff were all super friendly and after perusing what was available I plumped for a noodle salad topped with Red Dragon Pork and Miso Dressing to takeaway. The noodle salad was nice, I especially liked the fact that the noodles have been chopped up a bit meaning the spillages on my shirt were limited to just one(as opposed to the 7 or 8 that usually occur when noodles are about!) although to pay £4.20 for some nicely chopped veg seems a bit much. That said for an extra £1.70 I added some Red Dragon Pork, and I am very glad I did. It was taste-tastic. Slow cooked to perfection with a sweet and heat smoky combination of flavours that was just right, the miso dressing seemed the logical accompaniment of the choices available and it brought it all together well. I liked the food a lot but at £5.90 for lunch alone(no drink or pudding) it was right at the top end of my working day lunching budget. I’d definitely go back though, tasty-tasty!

Never failed as a great lunch place. I go for the pork every time! Trust me, try it! Have had it with the rice and with a salad. Quite pricey but you know it is good quality and they do fill you up.

Just wanted to update my previous review of Martha’s due to the fact that I finally got to sample their breakfast menu! After reading about their new vegan offerings, I knew I had to get down to try their multigrain porridge ASAP! I can confirm that it is amazing! I got a large, which was just under £3, and really was large. I don’t eat a lot for breakfast normally, so this was too big a portion for me, so in the future I’ll probably get a small portion instead(£1.90). I also topped it with banana and muscovado sugar for an extra 50p. You get a really generous portion of this too, which I was pleasantly surprised at. It kept me filled until lunchtime and I didn’t hit my usual 11am slump, what more could you ask for! I also grabbed a Juice Warrior Macha Latte pressed juice, but I wasn’t a big fan of it. I really do love Juice Warrior though, so I think i’ll just stick with my old favourites! I’ll definitely be back on soon!

Martha’s is located in the basement of 142 St Vincent Street. The vibe reminded me of a stylish staff canteen — the décor is fairly functional but cool. However restaurant is not really designed to linger… you go eat your food and leave. It is a much larger space than I thought it would be, there is lots of seating but when I was in all the seats were being used as you would expect at lunch time on a Friday. The reason Martha’s reminds me of a staff canteen is the way that the ordering is set up. There are fridges stocked up with freshly prepared salad boxes, juices and desserts which you just grab as you make your way to the checkouts. There are about 4 points order/till points, here you can add additional toppings for your salad boxes like Red Dragon Pork or Chipolte Chicken. This is also where you get your juices blended up with ice and you can order from a selection of wraps or main dishes like Scotch Beef Keema or Chicken Thai Curry. From the fridges I picked out a C-MoreGreen Smoothie which was made up of spinach, celery, mint, orange and mango at 127 cals and a Coconut Chai Pudding — chai seeds, coconut milk and maple syrup at 127 cals. In addition to this I also ordered a Cheera Chicken wrap, this Khobez style flat bread consisted of baked Indian herby chicken breast, coriander dressing and seedy citrus beet salad. Once I got home I eagerly dove into my goodies. The warp was much larger than I thought it was going to be given that it was only 434 cals. The chicken was lovely and tender and the herb coating was absolutely delicious. The salad tasted fresh and gave a nice bite to the wrap. I would say that it was a bit on the dry side for me — I understand why as they are trying to keep the cals down and that comes at a cost but the wrap was crying out for some mayo so I added a little low cal mayonnaise. To me it was worth the 50 cals it added. The juice was really really tasty, it was light and fresh with a definite zing to it, and the Coconut Chai Pudding tasted so cream and lush that I struggle to believe it was only 127 cals. Both of these sides I would order again on my next visit to Martha’s. Marthas Glasgow Food Geek Review My meal came to £10.50 — £2.95 each for the chai pudding and the juice and £4.60 for the wrap. I would say that this is possibly on the pricy side but you can tell that they use quality ingredients so I didn’t mind too much. I probably wouldn’t visit regularly it would be more of a once a week treat. I would definitely recommend a visit to Martha’s if you are tying to watch the old calories after an excessive christmas or you are just looking for a delicious but healthy dish. They have a gorgeous menu packed full of wonderfully tempting dishes at a low-calorie count.

I was tempted back to Martha’s by the enthusiasm of the Unilocalers who had attended the recent event there. My experience this time was altogether a vast improvement on last time. The customer service was really good. I was given a warm smiley welcome, and the server explained a couple of options to me. She also explained the Swipii card, as that was new to me. I’m really pleased that they are selling Juice Warrior juice — the best juice in town. Today I chose a Sun Dew — carrot, pineapple, orange, yellow pepper, lemon and turmeric. It was delicious, very refreshing and zesty, almost sherbety at the bottom. For my main meal, I had a falafel wrap. It was OK. A bit too much cabbage for my liking, and not enough hummus. Mostly what I could taste was cabbage. When I did get a bit of a falafel though, it was delicious, very squishy in a good way, not dry at all, and very tasty. I also tried one of their new chocolate avocado puddings. It’s great to see somewhere that sells stuff like this as it’s my favourite sort of food. For my tastes, it needed more chocolate and probably less coconut cream. I wasn’t getting much of a chocolate taste from it at all. I also didn’t think the little seeds added anything to it, apart from being the annoying bit you’ve got to eat first so you can then enjoy the rest of the chocolately bit. I’d probably get it again, but I hope they tweak their recipe a bit. The chia seed pudding caught my eye too, and I’ll be back to try one.

If healthy, hearty, tasty food is any priority to you then you must check out Martha’s. Nestled off of St. Vincent street this warm and welcoming restaurant has local and fresh options that are sure to make you happy. All their menu items are clearly marked and reasonably priced. Staff are also very knowledgeable and eager to help you make the smart decisions when it comes to eating on any type of plan! Martha’s should definitely boast about its amazing staff and a warm environment but most importantly the food… Breakfast is served from 7:30 to 11:00. If you are looking to fill up try their wholegrain porridge and mix it up at the topping bar where you can either go for healthy nut options or indulge a bit with some chocolate nibs! Lunch options are equally as brilliant. My favourite is the chipotle chicken wrap– be sure to add some hot sauce from the condiment bar! For dessert try their chocolate avocado mousse– you won’t be disappointed. Hands down don’t miss out on this place! Also thy serve Ramen everyday but it’s not on their menu!

Really delicious city centre munchings to be had here. During the summer I went here three times in one week! There is always an amazing selection of vegetarian options from exciting salads, soups to curries with the tastiest slaw ever. Lovely accessible and easy to understand menus with the ability to customise dishes using a variety of serving combinations. Martha’s also make an excellent cup of tea, my earl grey was delightful. This is a really comfortable place to sit alone — lots of city types lunching a la one so no awkwardness for the lone diner. The main downer is the toilet arrangements. Inadequate to have one female toilet for the size of restaurant.

It’s been ages since my initial Martha’s review so it’s time for an update. I have to admit I don’t visit here as much as I’d like but I’ve been a couple of times this week and I’m pleased to say it’s still as good as it was back in 2013. I popped in the other day just to get a juice and BOOM! I saw virgin Pimms was an option. Um, hello, how good does that sound?! While it was on the pricier side(over £4 to sit in) it was absolutely delicious. They also happily took out the cucumber from it for me so I don’t have to have that horrid vegetable in my body. Today I popped in for lunch and got the keru chicken box, served with brown rice and slaw. Now, I hate slaw so I would personally like a different option from that but the keru chicken was really delicious. Nice pieces of breast chicken with the lovely Indian and citrus spices and raita. I even managed to eat around the cucumber. Martha’s is always so fresh and tidy looking, with a tasty selection and friendly staff. My only complaint would be that it is a little expensive BUT seeing as there aren’t any other places like Martha’s around, doing such fresh and delicious(healthy) food, then I don’t mind. Bonus: most of Martha’s menu is available on MyFitnessPal, in case you’re a sad person who tracks your meals. Like me.

Now that I’m back at work in the city centre my love affair with Martha’s has been reunited! I’m not sure my bank balance appreciates it though! I really can’t fault the food here, their soups, salads, wraps and mains are all delicious. Flavourful, colourful and oozing with veggies, they make you feel like you’ve opted for such a healthy lunch — if you can resist the cakes at the counter that is. I’m addicted to their Supergreen salad — green lentils, broccoli, spinach, feta, it’s so good. And you can add chicken, salmon, falafel to the salad if you wish. I never have as I love the flavours as is. I also really like the blend while you wait smoothies, another fab way to up your fruit and veg in take. It’s not a cheap option for lunch though, especially now they’ve ditched their loyalty card scheme, but well worth it for a weekly treat.
