I’ve got to say, I think I was too harsh on M&S. This is mostly a supermarket but as I mentioned in my previous review, they have a clothing section and homewares.
It’s a small shop and doesn’t really get too busy except when there’s a £10 meal deal on. I’ve been a bit lazy recently and really do prefer the range of ready meals at M&S over Waitrose (controversial!) — it’s really just because M&S have a lot bigger selection. While it’s never going to be restaurant quality food, some of it can be really impressive and tasty — although it’s very much trial and error.
Prices aren’t too bad and the staff are friendly.
