My friends sister got a stunning meringue Cinderella style wedding dress from here which she looked absolutely stunning in and was so happy as she had found The Dress. My friend had been telling me horror stories of how they trawled round wedding boutiques galore, what probably felt like billions.
Strangely enough, June Brides was one of the last places on her list of shops to visit. She said that this was because outside it looked horrible and is in a rather odd location indeed. Just as you’re heading into town from the Southside, it’s located on the corner of one of the busiest roads, however, it’s nestled in between high rise flats and there aren’t any other shops for roughly a ten minute walk each way.
I usually pass this shop on the bus going into town and I too have noticed that it certainly doesn’t look like a traditional wedding dress boutique nor the most welcoming. There’s always road works of some sort going on directly outside but I guess that isn’t the shops fault. It’s a tiny little red brick one floor shop and I’m not surprised that it puts a lot of brides-​to-​be off. Although, after seeing my friends sisters dress this shop really is a case of; don’t judge a book by its cover.

I went into June Brides to look for a dress for my university graduation ball. The girls in the store were very nice and really helpful. Unfortunately all the prom style dresses were really awful. Very gaudy and tacky American style prom dresses. I also had a look at the bridesmaid dresses to see if any of those would suit but they were all too bland.
I had a little nosey at the bridal dresses while I was there under the pretence that I was looking for my sister who doesn’t exist. There is a very diverse selection; however none of it is to my personal taste. I would like to get into bridal dressmaking myself so I am familiar with the designers which June Brides sells and I have to say I find them to be a bit over the top which tends to make them look cheap when they are far from it! However I am aware that many brides love the over the top, princess for a day thing so each to their own!
Buying your wedding dress is a very personal thing and one of these dresses may be perfect for you so I would definitely recommend giving June Brides a visit because of the excellent customer service they give you.
