I got my Chia seeds in here. Even though I grumble as they have shot up in price since the Chia boom, I had a little bit of pride knowing I got a bargain today:) 350g costs £5.99, bit the 100g bags were reduced to £1.34. So it was working out for an extra 71p I could get an extra 150g. That’s like an extra 1 and a half bags for 71p. Girl who served me was polite. I came in here for one thing. Cha Ching, I’m a happy bunny. Diet starts tomorrow:)

For its size, this Holland & Barrett is actually pretty well stocked with supplements, vitamins and suchlike. The only area that could use some improvement is the food section, but they are a little limited for space I suppose. The shop in Sauchiehall Street has a better choice of veggie and vegan snacks, and if this one could somehow manage to install an inter-dimensional portal to the Sauchiehall Street branch’s food cabinet, I would patronise it more often! Nonetheless, you can still get some items here, like veggie pâté(an essential toast topper!), dried fruits and nuts and so on. They also have some great non-alcoholic drinks like ginger cordial and Norfolk punch, and if you’re lucky there will be a wee sample tray by the door for you to try out the latest offer. Always worth visiting when they have a special offer on, like ‘Buy One Get one for a penny’ or ‘Buy One get Second Half Price’. It’s great for stocking up on your supplements, and the sales person is always super-friendly.

Great convenient natural food store. I bought Sweet Almond Oil, Flax seed(egg replacer), dried figs and pistachios. The sales clerks I’ve talked to have been helpful and kind. It does get quite busy and it would be nice if there were two sales clerks rather than just one.

Shopped in this particular branch of Holland & Barrett on Byres Road(not Byers Road as their website states!) a few times now and have always found what I was looking for. The lady that works in here does always seem to be by herself so it can be a bit of a pain when she’s helping out a customer(which is great) but then you’re stood waiting at the till for some time to be served(not so great). But it’s impossible to get even slightly miffed when you can see the lady is here working by herself. I like H&B’s deals. Their Buy One Get Another For 1p is brilliant. As is their BOGO-Half Price. Lately I have taken advantage of both of these deals and got myself some quality supplements for a really good price. They’re always happy to help & the lady in here does always ask if I need any but most of the time I like to peruse the shelves & see what there is. Good selection of all stock apart from their cold/frozen food items. This is a real shame as I think if they had a freezer/fridge in here with their veggie/vegan food items I think they would go down really well. Especially seens as H&B do tend to stock some of the more hard to get hold of and different veggie/vegan produce. If this store had that produce then it would be a 5 star review. I’m a supplement junkie and part-time veggie/vegan & H&B feed my habit and my belly. Woo! Got to love it.
